So basically with that THE ENTIRE CLAN folds and gives up....the ENTIRE CLAN that is based soley on warrior ethos just gives up. See how it makes NO SENSE, what were the writers thinking???????????

Slight mistake there. With Osis' death, the clan had lost almost ALL of it's warriors at that point. What was left was crushed shortly there after. Then the SLDF declared Huntress netural, and stumbled upon the efforts to revive the clan, and crushed those as well. The clan folded, mostly because it had no warriors left (other than the ones captured and interned on Yorii).

Also look at that nice slice of territory carved up by Hell's Horse. I am impressed :)

Didn't had Borg in original Star Trek episodes, was fine too!! Klingons did that job quite well.

Actually when you read the novels, going after CSJ made much more sense than going after wounded Wolves or Falcons. Destroying what was still a vibrant Clan sent the message. Additionally, as a reprisal for their glassing of Inner Sphere holdings, a true atrocity if there ever was one, it gave the SLDF-remix a moral high ground of sorts, necessary to keep up DIME (diplomatic, influencing, military and economic) momentum for the mission.

Going after a wounded Clan would not have impressed the overall Clans like removing CSJ did. And essentially forcing the Clans to see the IS as a difficult prey to take down, was key to the mission.

Also the Star League would have prolly fallen apart if the Jade Falcons were wiped out due to the massive boon the FedCom would have gained from their reclaimed territory.
