I mean

I've heard that

line before

hell I've

used it

and it's funny

but i was

always

content

to

consider the Corps

to be

more of an asylum

than a department.

Yah. It's as if they still think there is something wrong with being gay.

Saying to someone "haha, you're gay" is about as effective as saying to them "haha, you went to college!"

Not really an insult...

Well I

don't know man

with the cost

of student loans

and the numbers coming

out that the

vast majority of kids

these days

with student loans

will be in debt

until

they die because

of

the

low

chance of

geting a job

that will support

the cost

of those loans

I feel it's

probably more

reasonable to mock someone

for going to college

than for being gay.

in that it's not

really

okay to mock

someone for being

who they are

but it is okay

to mock people for

poor choices.

Going to college isn't a poor choice.

Spending $100k on an art history degree is a poor choice. Sometimes. Assuming it's not on scholarship.

I wish being gay was a choice though. Oh man, I'd totally do that for a month! You know how awesome it would be to have rock hard abs at my age? I mean, I'm pretty stylish right now, but it would be nice to upgrade that to pro-mode for a bit to really put some pizazz in my wardrobe. Plus, think of all the great lady friends you'd make during that period!

They need to come up with a "gay for a month" pill. That would be so great!

I'm not sure

being gay

comes with

a "free mega abs"

coupon.

I'm fairly certain

it doesn't

work that way

though

I could be wrong.

That said the ludicrous cost

of loans for

four year college

degrees has

driven beyond the "soft"

subjects and into

more professional fields.

Even in information technologies

kinda THE growing field

it's expect half of

graduates won't be able to sustain

their loans if they

even manage to get jobs in

the field

they studied

in the first place.

It's bad

really really

bad.

but no the poor
choice to mock their

is the loan

not the schooling.

Have you actually SEEN the miniseries Generation Kill?

Not to mention I'm going to my sister's wedding on July 4th. I'm getting a new sister-in-law. Do the math on that one.

Generation Kill

was amazing.

It was such a faithful

realization of what is was like

to be in the

modern Marine

Corps

I felt i knew those

guys

because they were

exactly like

the guys i served

with.

That said

if you've seen

Generation Kill

You HAVE to see

The Pacific.

Wow.

just Wow.

I suspect your odds of snagging a bridesmaid is going to be a bit limited? Like sand at the beach, but closed to public traffic. So sad....

I got the same feeling watching Mr Roberts. Highly recommend it. I think it was based off my ship.

Personally I'd just keep a conveyor belt of booze heading to the head table and have a video camera ready to go. And ice chips. Never skimp on the ice chips.

Try to justify it any way you want Navy.

You're only confirming the stereotype.

Not back then, but I do have a lime tree now that I'm very fond of. I talk to it almost every day.

I knew it was time to stop working from home and get back to the office when it started talking back.

I was in 10 years before the timeline in that series. It was STILL exactly like my experiences during the Desert Storm/Somalia era.

Also, I have The Pacific. After watching it, I had a whole new respect for the Marines of that era. The Old Breed were some serious hard ********.

You should read up

on how he earned The Medal

in Haiti

Just means you know they put out. Same with women lugging around babies in the walmart parking lot

Oh and my favorite?
Trolling places like weight watchers and gyms. You get skinny girls at fat girl prices because even though they've lost the weight they still have self-image and self-esteem issues
You can also lay the groundwork in "liking" them while they're fat, then when they get skinny they remember how nice and sweet you were to them BEFORE they get skinny

Yep.

Pretty much standard Marine methodology there.

Go ugly early pays dividends

Logging to get a free mech bay does not constitute gameplay.

Logging and launching into a match constitutes gameplay.

Sandpit is correct, you guys sparring with him need remedial grammar lessons.

And the only way I know what Heffay is blathering about is when I see him quoted in someone else's responses to him. He really is rather dense, you know. Although, he could be the alter ego of a PGI staff member stirring up interest in the forums.

No, on second thought, he's really just dense.

And Russ stating "true support" on twitter just means he's selecting the 30% that won't tell him he needs to do something about something in the game. Which means stuff that needs to get fixed, won't be.
