I'll buy the Jester.
With the MC I bought back when there was a 25% off MC sale. On a 50% off Jester. So... 67.5% off or something?
Feels like a reasonable value.

OK, I just noticed that those same patterens that went from 75 MC to 125 MC (single shot or or Mech only) ALSO went from 750 MC per type to 1250 MC per type.
Is this a normal sales tactic? Raise the price just before putting it o sale?

Don't. It's not worth even that. Worst hero mech I own.

Select your mech. The colors are for all mechs. The patterns ("unlock") are for one chassis or ("single use") for one variant. Only the unlock part is on sale. Handy for mechs you like enough to want to keep them forever.
At 1:30 I start repainting my Hunchback.

But seriously, neat stuff, too bad by the time I'd have the money ready the sale would be over.
That, and I already bought some stuff recently AND I'm saving up for something completely unrelated to MWO.

WHY ARE WE PAYING REAL CASH FOR FOOKIN PAINT !
.. and really PGI ! ... 1 mil cbills + for basic colours !! .. get a grip and give it some thought !
It's why mine will be boring in basic bought colours because you milked me for the mechs in the first place !

You can use the dropdown to "Categorize them", they'd be under "Special" or "Buccaneer" for the colors. If the colors are not terribly important, you can wait for the cheaper ones to go on sale (used to be much more often) and get them then.

You might not be looking at the exact same patterns. This is one of the reasons I miss the old interface; when painting your mechs it separated all patterns by type.
Standard patterns... 75 single use, 750 unlock. Example: Woodland.
Premium patterns... 125 single use, 1250 unlock. Example: Buccaneer.
Special patterns... Required codes to unlock or certain earnings in game. (PC Gamer skin. PGI has plans for "Faction lore skins" which would fit this category, where players would need to achieve x amount of ranking/level/standing with said faction to unlock said pattern with CW).
(The original names were "Camo (standard)," "Custom (premium)," and "Special.")
(Replaced Atlas picture with this much better looking one).
Epic "1 ." o.O;

Anyway, you make it sound as if it has been that way for a while. So I must have just missed the premium price.
Thanks again for the reply ;-)

Last I heard, CW will be rewarding some cosmetics as part of the rewards for factions. So just wait if you want to spend your money on something else.

But really, it's a free to play game, charing for cosmetics is a perfectly fine and legitimate way of generating income.

They are -- and I've noticed this ever since the change -- "mixed up." You'd literally have to click every single pattern to see which ones are 'premium'. I dislike that quite a bit. While the new UI is better for many reasons (especially the 'check out' at the end of everything you do instead of at every stage), it lost some of the best things about the old UI.
While it never worked, did you know there was a Decals tab in the old UI? It lingered with the promise that sooner or later you could slap on decals (like labels, slogans, etc) on the mech in what is likely pre-arranged places.
Although you can *stops immediately to check on this in game*... Nope, nevermind. Was hoping you could use the dropdown to find the categories for patterns like you can for paint. Everywhere else the new UI wastes space with lots of pictures making it impossible to see your mech as you customize it. But on the paint thing instead of using a vertical space, they use a horizontal one that covers your legs and no dropdowns to separate patterns by category. Makes me sad.
(Even in how they did it, "Spec[ifications] - Pattern" on the left they could have added additional boxes to separate the patterns).
Still. I managed to get another Buc pattern, I rather like them. One of my favorite mechs, the Thunderbolt, now has it.
