Solid mech, good flexibility over the variants.

Have to admit I like the flavour of the fixed flamer in the CT. I imagine many are frustrated at an energy hardpoint they can't customize but it adds to the character of the chassis. I expect people trying to maximise their builds will consistently bring up this point but I hope at least one chassis will forever have it welded in there.

The Direwolf totally random came across that corner, I am nt sure if said wall clipping laser registered, or is just a visual bug everything went too fast.

It needs some kind of boost to help it against the ECM + 3 AMS + JJ Kitfox.

One idea would be to give it an extra 2-4 hardpoints (6-8 total), allowing it to carry a very nice payload. After all, it was built specifically to be a combat-oriented light at the expense of speed.

I found a modeling issue from the cockpit view. Hold CTRL and move your view to either the upper left or upper right most cockpit views, and there's a modeling/rendering issue where there are holes through the bonnet/hood above the cockpit which you can see through.

Really wish the Adder had a bonus quirk to the heat of PPCs to make it better at runnign them than say just using a Nova or Stormcrow.

Love the Adder but it just doesn't have a place.

I think the place the Adder holds is a top-class light 'mech with maximum armor and 16 tons of pod space. That's something the Kit Fox can never manage.

Seconded. FoV set at 85, I believe, if it matters.

No way. I've enjoyed coring the Adders that have tried to get up in my face with that Flamer.

I enjoyed playing the Adders. Prime does well on cold maps, touchy on warm ones, which is as it should be. Ran almost 500 damage on Frozen city with one.

LRM support variant makes a good shoot and scoot boat. Also tried it with 2 strk 6 / 2 strk 4. That thing is just mean lol.

Needs jump jet legs from... somewhere. Seriously. Lights without jumpjets are just.... wrong. Very very wrong.
Otherwise I liked it.

I liked the adder alot but I feel it needs a few more hardpoints.

Like 2 E each arm on the primary configuration.

As is, the Kitfox has jumpjets, ECM, trip AMS....AND more hardpoints. So making the Adder more of a combat light to differentiate it from the generalist kitfox would be much appreciated.

cockpit issue, if you use ctrl to look strait up the textures arent there and there are holes in the mech which just make it look sloppy

Jenner has that in the extreme sides and back. Think it's just a thing with some of the smaller Mechs.

One of the few clan mechs I feel outright needs a boost. If you're not allowing MASC/Engine upgrades, give it more hardpoints. These things are on the big side for a light as well... Not a lot good to say about it other than it's easy to hit.

I don't have Adder, but I think it definetly needs a buff. The Kitfox is just too good in comparison to it since it can have ECM and jumpjets. One thing came into my mind right away, and it would be stock build (or weapon) buffs. For example you could give it a quirk that reduces the amount of ERPPC heat in Prime stock build. This would give it an edge as a sniper.

I don't think giving an option to remove the flamer is necessary however, since it only weights 0,5 tons anyways. I loved to see some flamers on the field.

Even if mastered, Adder remain too slow for being lights, clumsy and unreactive, very slow turning rate for it size. When you manouver around a building or some obstacle if you touch it there is a very significant reduction in speed respect IS counterpart. Without speed the armour is not sufficient, you going to be crippled or die for a couple of lasers.

I had the most fun with this Adder build: 2 C-SSRM6s and 2 C-MPLs. If I could remove that ridiculous flamer, I could mount 3 C-ERMLs. That would make for a decent combat light.

I may still get the Adder a la carte. And the Nova. Maybe. LOL.

I had a LOOOOT of fun with this mech running it as a mini wang. A UAC20 and 3 ER Small lasers. Just ran around with 2 and a half tons of ammo and blew things apart! Plus its small profile is hard to hit, so it was pretty funny to see assault mechs stumbling to try and track the little monster. The increased structure hit points on the legs made this thing almost as strong as a medium mech. I could run in a lance with other medium mechs and do just as much as they could with this little beast, or not more.

I also ran it with 2 ER small lasers and 2 Clan LRM 15s with 8 tons of ammo. I had a good match when I ran that..

The Streak Adder should be a thing. 2 Streak SRM6s and 2 Streak SRM4s. It is MEAN XD

Please do not allow us to remove the flamer.
Please buff the flamer.

I ran this thing with 2 LRM15s in the torsos, 7 tons of ammo, a tag in one arm, an MG in the other, and the flamer.

The MG/Flamer combo was pretty useless, as expected, but it looked and sounded cool. I only use 3 weapon groups (usually) and with the tag and LRMs taking up 2 of my triggers, I wanted something that complimented the flamer.

I probably would have been better off just equipping a medium laser and ignoring the flamer completely. This makes me sad.

Nonetheless, 30 tubes of LRMs and 7 tons of ammo... its a great little support mech.

I think I did around 350 damage with just the LRMs... but it was so easy a kid could do it. Was just about out of ammo by the end of the match.

If I rebuild a LRM30 adder, I will use 3x LRM10 instead of 2x LRM15, replacing the MG arm for a missile arm. The slightly improved cooldown will be more useful than trying to augment the flamer.

Fix the flamer, however, and I will run 2 flamers, 2 LRM15 and a tag. In theory, the heat from the flamers could delay another light mech from killing me just long enough for a teammate to come save me.

Edit:
Also used 2x SSRM6 (torso) and 2x SRM6 (arms)
that was a fun little brawler. I tangled with a 4x PPC warhawk using that build, and damaged him quite heavily. He shot half my mech off... as soon as he did, I turned on the flamer... (wasn't going to overheat with half my weapons gone) ... I thought it was over for me, but a teammate came and finished him off.
