As far as I could tell from the announced modules and the modules you get for a warhawk collection you will get the radar deprivation module with an unique visual effect that differs from us dirty peasants who have to unlock it with GXP

Yeah. Gold mechs get the Radar Deprivation - LTD module (still don't know the difference between the LTD and normal modules... tried running with them and didn't notice any special effect).

They also get the Gatling Horn warhorn. I'm not sure of anything else.

That's the kind of attitude that really needs to die. These players are helping fund this game that we all love and enjoy. I don't get why people would insult them, or try to team kill them. It's just stupid.

It's more a $240 paint job, because I believe (though good be wrong) that you get the Gold Mech + the Masakari pack.

Buying gold gets you:
Masakari Pack
+Gold Hero (Prime)
+Bonus Module
+Warhorn
+Badge
+Title
+Hanging Item

Curiously, it doesn't say it has an extra mech bay for the gold mech.

As for "having the balls" Levi´s Jeans Company are way ahead of them... Charging double premium for a pair of worn out jeans because they are "designer"... Or how about the car biz.... charging you through the nose forsome different seatcovers and shiney bits around the airvents...

This is not something new you know...

They paid for a gold skin and that is all they get. What's the point of this thread? Do you imply they're supposed to get something else?

Do i detect jealousy that you don't have $500 you have no other use for than spending it on some digital bling? Honestly though, I thought the Gold mechs don't look all that great. Which is why I only got the collection, and will then spend $260 making em look good.

In my first match on the test, I dropped alongside a Gold Masakari.

Now, I've been ambivalent to the gold mech thing all along: I'd never pay that much for a skin, but I don't fault people who do. It's no skin off my back, after all. I'd certainly not team-kill one, because why? Why would you risk your account and be an ass, just because someone else decided to waste(in your opinion) their money? Anyways, those people are helping fund my CW development, so all the power to them.

But when I dropped beside that Masakari, I couldn't help but think... That looks badass right there. I thought they'd be a lot more crass looking, but honestly it just looked pretty cool.

I still wouldn't pay that much for a skin, but that's entirely a function of how much disposable entertainment money I have... I did buy 4 mechs ala carte, and one could argue that was as much a waste of money as the Gold Masakari pack... And I don't regret it in the slightest.

Definitely think those who get all bent out of shape about the gold mechs should just go for a green skin. As I said, other people buying a shiny skin doesn't hurt them in the slightest.

Also, consider: That friendly mech with the gold skin? He's going to draw more fire. It's going to happen. As such, why would you teamkill him? Stand next to him, he'll die first every time. He's ablative armor!

Hanging item is a Khan Gold Ingot. and we get all 5 of the new modules where the other pack get 4. and the other stuff listed

I didn't buy one, and i wouldn't even if i had the money. That's just my personal preference though, if someone did choose to buy one then fair play to them and i hope they get many hours of fun while in their flashy gold mech.

One point i would like to make is anyone who does have a negative comment about how others spend their money, is either jealous or bitter. They can dress it up how they like, like they are doing the world a favour enlightening everyone what is/isn't a waste of their own money. However it doesn't change the fact.

Haters gonna hate. Especially poor ones.

Apparently, one bonus to the Gold Khan package is to get derogatory comments about them deleted from the forums, so there's that.
