Greetings!

Please tell us your thoughts on the C-LB10-X AC ballistic weapon system!

Hi, I just observed that a ton of C-LB10-X AC ammo on the Summoner Prime only supplies 15 rounds in game as well as designated in the mechlab, whereas other AC-10 munitions supply 60 per ton. This didn't seem right and I just wanted to bring the issue to light.

Cheers, and thanks for such a great game.

The other ACs are burst fire unlike the LB 10-X which fires a single shell containing multiple pellets. The AC and UAC ammo counts are multiplied by 4 because that's how many 2.5 damage rounds are fired with each trigger pull. 1 ton of ammo is still worth a maximum of 150 damage.

The AC-10 fires a 4 round burst of 2.5 damage. So 60/4 = 15 bursts. Each is spent after 15 trigger pulls.

As bad as the IS LB10-X, but 1 ton lighter and 1 crit smaller. Not worthwhile. Tighten the spread so that it can hit a light with most/all pellets at its range bracket, adjust projectile speed so that this is a realistic possibility.

To make LBX cannons a little more viable and on par with the other AC's, I really think all that is needed is less projectiles and higher damage per "pellet". For example, the LB10X cannon could go to a 5 "pellet" shot doing 2 damage a piece, keep the current spread and crit seeking mechanics and then would be on par with the other 10 class variants. The UAC10 does the same damage per shell in the burst, and then has the double tap mechanic. I think this would make the LBX cannons more viable even with the spread and be a different playstyle. And this should be changed for both Clan and IS weapons. When/If the ammo swap capability comes into play, damage will be similar in both setups. And maybe part of the problem with that capability is that the ammo count is different. The burst ammo was increased to show those extra rounds. I think we would be fine if the LBX cannons would show similar rounds in shotgun mode where each pull of trigger loses 5 rounds, regardless of ammo used.
