Fedsuns, because at least the bars on the cage are gilded with the six freedoms, and even as a poor sodding uneducated agrarian scraping by just barely in the outback, you're usually allowed to be left alone and do as you wish within more reasonable boundaries than the other factions allow.

That said, I do have some growing interest in the Taurians, excepting their obscene, extreme fear and hatred of the fedsuns, all out of proportions to the actual relations between the two.

If you want a really interesting thread, start one asking which factions people loathe/hate and why ... :P

Thank you for the idea of what thread about factions to create next, I have followed through.

Clan Ghost Bear, I think of all the clans they're what Alexander Kerensky envisioned for the star league when they returned.

Taurian Concordant. They have the best primary educational system in the whole of the IS/Periphery and the highest literacy rate. I have a lot of educators in my family so this always appealed to me.

For the IS - Comstar

I like the IS factions evenly, except for Davion.

If I had to pick one, I'd go for Clan Ghostbear or Clan Nova Cat, but clans don't interest me much otherwise.

I wouldn't want to live in the Periphery, unless it's work for the Explorer Corps.

My top three are Wolf's Dragoons, followed by the Kell Hounds and Clan Wolf-in-Exile.

When I originally started playing I was a Davion supporter. However, as time passed I grew disalusioned with House Davion and the Federated Suns. I ended up with the Capellan Confederation after passing through St. Ives/Free Capella. I'm a diehard CapCon supporter now. For the Inner Sphere, I've always been and will remain a Nova Cat even though they no longer exist as a clan.

I am surprised the CC can go 10 days without revolution.

Davion: "Sure, we're an empire, but we're the good guys!"
Steiner: "I'm pretty sure I paid someone so I could be the good guy."
Kurita: "Ignore the massacres, honor makes us the goodguys."
Marik: "We're obviously the good guys. Some of us. Not that guy, he's an a-hole."
Cappellans: "We're the bad guys, but we're good at it."

I always loved the Magistracy of Canopus! <3

They grow to have one of the best Covert Ops programs in the IS
Their society is founded on the pursuit of your own happiness unless it hurts another
They have a unique kind of economy

imagine a place where two mechwarriors sit down next to each other never talked, taken shots at each other for the last 30 years managing to somehow survive and share a cold drink before retiring....That "we've seen some things....done some things...hears to you man..." Kind of feel.

Plus Space Vegas! Haha. :)

It's great for TT games too, if your players are a mixmatch of house units and don't want to go merc...have a vacation gone wrong pirates attacking...gangsters...anyone really...force them to work together....creates some unique fun if people stay in character. I've also done a few as a MoC operative operation on a traveling pleasure cruse roaming around stealing info...assassinations...tech/info raids....ect ect.

Added:

ComStar: "We're the goodguys, the TV says so."
Word of Blake: "Since everyone else is a badguy we must be goodguys, right?"
Clan Wolf: "Stackpole's pretty certain we're the goodguys."
Clan Jade Falcon: "We're the goodguys, WANNA FIGHT ABOUT IT?!"
Clan Smoke Jaguar: "Goodguys are the ones who survive... Crap."
Clan Ghost Bear: "Clan Wolf is letting us be the good guys today."
Free Rasselhague Republic: "Ghost Bear is letting us be the goodguys today."
Clan Diamond Shark: "Wanna be the goodguy? We can sell you some karma at a good price!"
Clan Nova Cat: "We're the underdogs, so we must be the goodguys."
The Periphery: "We're... Relevant?"
