And in those 6-8seconds it should spit havoc and destruction.... while the Atlas that should take the same beating - close like a drunken boxer before releasing a knock down punch....
as far as i see - the Dire Wolf will perfectly fit into my playstyle - stand and shoot.....grim and determined....and a hand over the "override" - come - see if you can kill me faster than my heat......

A Liao, wanting to stand and fight? A rare specimen indeed.

Over all one should never crest a ridge ever... The Direwolf in an ambush position should eat you alive quickly followed by cries of OP.
Ridge humping is bad game play in my OP. Its the equivalent of jumping around in CS, MMO PVP and other FPS games. The reality is no mech is designed to trade damage. yet players insist upon it.
Properly played all mechs should be striking from behind. The proper use of 3pv is to know when your target has torso changed away and now you can attack. pin, flank and back stab: A classic form of infantry maneuver. its really what med/ heavy mechs are best at but seldom used deliberate but often accidentally in PUG's.

Think so - ridge humping isn't even viable in MWO.... because the "reload" speed is absurd high - if you ridge hump - you may blockade the path of others - the enemy can line there weapons...and if because you play peak a boo they can reload and cool down....
a line of steal in the open - is the better tactic... and a premade of Clan Beast should vaporize almost any foe in seconds - if they advance

Very true since from what I have seen the Clan stuff can really pack on the firepower.

You can survive longer in an Atlas than the Dire.
I am sure many would debate that with you.

Dangerous to face 1v1, but put two together or put some other mechs around them and they are deadly!

Well, this is true too... I was merely commenting on the survivability part (the CT is huge; can be hit from the side, can't twist well - I even put my nose to a wall and a fly by spider spraying lasers across my side only hit my CT); however, I looked at an incoming light and aimed 4 Clan Ac 10 at his legs and shot both of them out from under him in one alpha.
So, yea, scarry; but once seen by the enemy all else may be ignored as your death paper doll looks like you forgot the center of you mech when you rolled out.

But even when you play it properly....it's just not that scary.
The concept of "staying in groups" and "escorting it with timberwolves" is silly, you might as well just swap it for another Timberwolf, then you have a pack of mechs moving at 89kph or whatever insane speed it is. Instead of having a bunch of fast mechs slow down for the fatty.
Assuming 3/3/3/3, I'd much rather have 3 Victors than 3 Daishi at this point.
