Hello Ladies and gents.

As the title already says: How do you think is the introduction going to happen?

To get the ball rolling, I have added my personal take on it (see spoiler below).
I'd be delighted to read your ideas, concepts, choices, scenarios, comments, critics and what else may come up =)

I posted this elsewhere, but
I think by the time the clans arrive, most of us will already be fighting anti-clan tactics, and when someone is suprised to see a timberwolf pop up on the horizon, we will be ready. I'm sure we will win our first engagements well before twycross. That being said, i really hope the cannonical engagements happen. Who owuldn't love to be part of the Luthien campaign?

Hehe, yeah not much surprise left for the vets. But I do wonder if PGI can manage to put the fear of Kerensky into the new guys when the Clans arrive. Past titles usually had a narrative and that led to some interesting confrontations with Clan commanders and their rides. Sure would like to see something like that again and experience that again from both sides of the conflict =)

Only problem I see with this is balancing it so that whatever mech you choose, you're still at a disadvantage, numerical odds aside.

Other then that, it's a *******' idea to be honest.

Yeah i know what you mean, the clans in MechWarrior 3 was good for clan boss fights.
and as for cannonical,
i hope something about the 1st somerset strikers comes out when we meet the clans.

Is there even going to be any PvE in MWO? Otherwise how will the "test" work?

personally, i´d love to see that in the middle of battle, we hear a voice out of our spekers, saying: "attention [name of planet], this is star colonel .... of Clan ... , a full trinary (yes, i know that´s too many Mechs for the Game mechanics^^) stands ready to conquer your planet. what forces dare oppose us?" and the devs (or maybe some "chosen" users) in unidentified (at least by our targeting computers :D ) Mechs join the fight shortly after that announcement.

that´d be awesome.

hahaha well the game may not be able to handle so many live player mechs but AI mech take up alot less off the server memory. so u may get a full trinary. An you never know as well, with updates.in computer tech the server will get more powerfull.

i can see clans being introduced as some kind of pve event, perhaps some invasion of x world, with clan equipment being made available via some kind of reputation based system or through salvage (something like eve-online), i for one dont mind how or when so long as eventually i get to run around in a madcat or shadowcat

please not. I´d rather have the star colonel bid down to a binary after seeing that poor, outdated IS Mechs standing against his forces than see AI pilots in MWO

edit: and it´s not about "the game can´t handle it" it´s about the 12v12 players Match system.

Yeah, there's definitely room for PvE in MWO. If you take another game as example: in Warhammer Space Marine I have spent hours upon hours stemming the tide of greenskins and literally ran into a wall in the bonus waves against the traitor Marines. If you can do something similar with a squad/lance/star of buddies in MWO, then it's gonna be awesomesauce. Just this: when the Dreadnought DLC arrived, I just went straight for it and plenty other people as well. It's just a very tiny BattleMech in comparison to what we get to play with in MWO, but a big hint for PGI just how attractive Mechs really can be. Mechs are sexy =)
