So I came home from E3 yesterday and installed a fresh copy of the game to give it a whirl after a month off. Then I noticed I was only getting 15fps and decided to run the repair tool....

THIS is what MWO looks like after a FRESH install from scratch:

Posted Image

PGI still can't code their way out of a paper bag which leaves me with little to no confidence considering the other map and matchmaker related issues. Still no Stock queue, Still no PuG only queue, trial mechs are still a joke, grinding mechs for exp mastery makes you a liability to your team, tryhards abound with open hostility for pugs while stomping casuals, and the community is as delusional as they are toxic. That's my evaluation of MWO currently, and I'll have another after the clans drop.

This post is pointless, to boot. You've only shown that the fresh install and the repair tool have different versions of shader packs installed. Looks to me like (1) it's working perfectly, and (2) you have no idea what you're talking about. Though I think we all knew that the latter was true.

I've never had any issues with installations/patches/repair tool.

Hey...have you ever considered that every PC is different and it's impossible to account for every possible error that could ever occur on every PC out there in the world?

Did this really warrant a new "Hey look at me I don't like PGI and I want attention because I am attention starved" thread?

How mature to resort straight to the personal attacks proving my point about how toxic this community is. The game's downloader installs corrupt files which require the repair tool before you can even enjoy the game. That's utterly pathetic and PGI is welcome to challenge my feedback about a broken game that underpreforms while the delusional remnants of a broken community blindly support them.

I have never had to use the repair tool or delete and reinstall mwo. maybe you should quit downloading internet porn if you don't want your system to get corrupted.

Despite your 'month off' you still managed to post constantly throughout that period - including discussing in-game activities. So either you lied then or you are lying now. Either way next time feel free to make your vacation permanent.

Are you using the current repair tool for MWO? Have you ran an anti-virus on your PC in the last while? Is your graphics card up to date? I know in some instances when the Graphics card is not up to date, it reads some of the graphics files in MWO as corrupted, even though they are not. (Because it happened to me xD)

Toxic communities are defined by how they treat normal players, not by how they treat toxic players.

Refusal to tolerate someone being toxic is not intolerant or toxic in and of itself. I'm only mean to trolls, like yourself.

Beside all problems, you should get your rig to work in the first place... maybe something... idk... newer that can run more than tetris with 20fps... or a fresh clean install...

ok, just kidding, but critism just goes so far, and after that you should just stahp posting. You don't want to go full vassago.

PGI has a lot of issues...this isn't one I'd hang my hat on as a reason to not make a purchase.

Here is my thought process. The game is generally fun, but could be insanely better.

So I've spent $30 on MC during a sale, and I'm going to buy an ala'carte Timberwolf. And that will be it for the year.

So $85? Which is about $7 and some change per month to play this game.

I think that's fair.

The people who drops $500 on Gold Mechs and $200+ repeatedly on packages on top of buying MC...I don't get that at all.

But more power to them.

You are part of the community, your toxic post is clearly delusional. Or you have no logic behind this toxic post because you are delusional.

You know lockwood, in the grand scheme of things i honestly do not think they give a flying surrat if ou are going to buy a clan pack on the last day before release or not. If the test servers session was any indication the pack have been a sale success even without your contribution

As other have said... game got 99 problems . nut that ain´t one.

Ive had my own concerns and reservations. This sort of pointlessly insulting stuff isnt cool though. Going to buy a clan mech a la carte tonight on gp just because of this thread. wasnt gonna, but just for you.

Wow, mine looks amazing, it has all these clan mechs and IS mechs. There's also some dakka and wub wub, along with a few pews, many of which all have different colours now. It's like you're at a rave where everyone has frickin laser beams on their head.

No, he is right in that area, they are still a joke. (With very few exceptions.)

Example: CPLT-A1 (C): Slow, very limited ammunition, and no jumpjets.
Given the ammunition, you are only supposed to live for a couple minutes of combat- of course one could argue that that is built in given the slow speed and lack of jumpjets.
There is nothing good about that mech, which is sad for because I consider the catapults one of my favorite inners' fear mechs.

SHD-2H (C) Slow, very slow, with an XL engine.

(This does not mean I agree with him in any other regard, but I do agree that the trial mechs are typically a joke.)

I set up a 2nd install a few days ago (not counting intalling the PTS client) and had absolutely no problems. The PTS client installed flawlessly as well.

If you're getting corrupted files, that's something on your end, not PGI's.

I wasn't going to by a clan pack simply because I don't like clan mechs (in my opinion they ruin the board game). And I sincerely wished that PGI had spent the time fixing the existing game.

However the positive reviews from the PTS turned me around. And I realized if I did by a clan pack would I regret it? probably not, even if I never played them it would just be an unnecessary expenditure, better to have it an not need it. However if I didn't by the clan a clan pack, that is something I may regret in the future.

And I had a great time Sunday, very few teams, almost no meta, and after 8+ hours I could count the number of consumables used on 1 hand. All and all it was a great experience (I almost wish I could play on the test server exclusively, where people are playing for fun not gain).
