Greetings!

Please tell us your thoughts on the C-AC/5 ballistics weapon system!

After having tested all the autocannons, I found that not having a single slug autocannon to be a decisive disadvantage to the clans. I know the standard AC's are just a placeholder for the LBX's ability to swap ammo types but even so, if the LBX fires a single cluster style munition and if I were to switch ammo types it would not change the rate of fire to burst, it should still be a single slug type shot. The LBX (and in the meantime the Standard AC) should have the single shot with the long cool down just like an IS autocannons. The reason I believe that this should be implemented is that why would you use a burst style cannon when the Ultra can do the same thing but with the ability to double tap, sending out twice as many shots for the same cool down time.

My point is the LBX's and the Ultra's feel very good on their own, but there is simply no reason to use the standard AC's. That is why having them be single slug just like their IS counterparts would give them an actual roll on the battlefield, especially when the LBX gets the ammo switch.

Since these take up 1 more critical and weight the exact same as Ultra AC/5s many you can tell me why anyone in their right mind would bother with the entire line of Clan Autocannons?

These things are beyond terrible infact I now need to edit my post about the SPL because the Basic clan auto cannons are the worst weapon in MWO as they are totally pointless.

edit: whoops forgot AC/5s also have a longer cooldown. even more awesome

Definitely needs its burst count reduced, is not viable being LB-5X sized/weighted but firing the same way as the uAC5, it simply is a bad option. Hopefully you'll get ammo swapping working soon....

WAIT ARE these supposed to be burst fire? what the heck is the difference between them and the clan ultra ac5 and if they are burst fire indeed, how will they compete with Inner sphere ac5 at longe range???

Flat out worse than the ultra ac/5.

Just remove these things completely until you have slug functionality ready for the LBXs. Right now these things just clutter up the weapon and ammo screens and serve only as a handicap to players who are not paying attention.

what exactly is the diff. between clan ultra c5 and clan ac5?

I heard the clan ac5 was mistakenly created and that it's supposed to fire 1 single shot not burst...

In that case those voices sound pretty good at weapon balance.
