It might help if you offered specific critiques instead of simply slinging mud. Give the devs something to look at and work on (such as fixing mech sorting so you can actually select it, allowing us to turn off trial mechs, fixing where the Phoenix mechs sort (They're heroes, not champions).

Embrace the change and help with useful thoughts in making what we have better. The old UI was meh and as ungainly as the new UI can be there are many things it does okay.

Going from one body part to the other is ridiculous.

Elizabeth Kenny once said: "He who angers you, conquers you." (not sure where I recently read it but it fits)
So try to keep calm.
If memory serves right they said they'd get to it after clanpocalypse, wich, funny enough isn't that far off, is it?

it is in progresses
you will note there is a mech details button (lower right) when you select a mech
it will show you an overview (smurf style) this will eventually be functional
keep in mind they must be able to fit the smurfy system into 1024x768 resolution
the most common screen rez the game is played on

- Buttons are too small and it takes at least 3 button clicks to get anything done once you are already in the section you need to work in.
- Items in the mechlab don't reveal their secrets until you mouse over them. When you have many different engines or weapons to choose from, this is a big problem.
- Working on each component at a time without being able to see what you did elsewhere makes building mechs take more time than it should.

I am happy that you have been able to find something to be even better in the current UI than what we had before but nevertheless I find your statement ludicrous in the face of the reality we see every time we log in.

This feigned ignorance of the herd of elephants in the living room breaking all the furnitures and almost the whole house is the part that makes me wonder. OP doesn't need to explain the points, because they have been said so many times already. PGI knows them at well. To put it into a single phrase: smurfy like mechlab.
We need a bitching post like OP every week until we get a working mechlab even if it's not worded in the most optimal way...

Even on a 1024x768 screen, Making a large icon, with little to no information on it, for each piece of equipment is complete waste of space.
The UI needs a bunch of changes to make it friendly for experienced players, not to mention new players.

Rollback certainly isn't an option, but it needs a major overhaul. I play less mechs now because I don't want to mess with the horrible mechlab. I know some people spent a lot of time on it, but most of the UI is just time-consuming junk. It makes me wonder what sycophants the play-testers were to not call it out. Before UI 2.0 launched the NGNG team was talking about it like it was going to save our souls and make us weep with tears of joy. Someone wasn't being honest with the dev team.

Yes... we've all agreed that the UI 2.0 is perfectly wrong for you specifically and the Devs have agreed... we want to torment you dude, and only you

What? My mechs are easier to find, when launching matches, we can coordinate mechs easier because we can see who's in what, we now have private matches due to UI2.0, and the sales (and the free mechs/mechbays they've been giving out) are a nice touch. UI2.0 has been an improvement in many ways.
Is it flawed? It the layout not great? Is it not very intuitive at times and with tons of wasted space and small text? Yes, but there have been several improvements.

Nothing wrong with outrage over an issue, but if you want to actually accomplish anything and get your issues addressed, spelling them out in clear and easy to follow points will get a better responce. Assuming that the people you're trying to get your point across to already know and understand your arguement or issue is being ignorant.
