I don't own a Stalker but those mechs are anything but obsolete, an 85ton IS gunbag, that has hit boxes that makes an Atlas green with envy. can tank damage imho better than any IS mech on the field. whats so obsolete about it...

I own all but one of the variants and all but one of those are LRMless brawlers, so the SRM thing is good to hear.

I only played a little bit in the Clan testing sunday but from what I saw LRM stalker builds are going to continue to be popular. Clan LRMs don't cluster nearly as well as IS LRMs. They stream out allowing them to be defused by AMS far more effectively. Stalkers however will still be able to pull off those volleys that look like a fist from an angry god.
