Some mechs were previously missing internal components that they likely should have always had. For example - all 3 original Battlemasters (I don't know if it affected the later additions b/c I don't own them) were missing a Right Hand Actuator. In this patch, actuator was added in causing 1 fewer crit slot to be available. Since the Battlemaster does not have a canon for a right arm, I assume this was previously an oversight.

And upon opening either mech (BLR-1S and STK-5M)
You get the nice (we will strip this mech for you now)

This would not be a big problem (unless you have no saved the previous loadout on paper somewhere)

However, none of the equipment shows on the inventory.
No Advanced Zoom, no Cap accelerator, No ERLLas... etc

Sure hope we don't have to rebuy all of this equipment.

As Firebahl said, when you go to edit the loadout the equipment it strips from the mech does not appear in the inventory. I did not save any changes because frankly I don't think PGI would take the time to reimburse me the 5 million or so C-Bills worth of equipment if it does get eaten by the game.

The nasty part is that my Battlemaster has the 3 modules I use the most on it, so until there's a fix or I can get more information the game is basically holding my best modules hostage. Maybe I'll just go with my original plan and skip out until Movember, since I didn't feel like dumping $240 on the game just to stay competitive.

Same thing here. My most expensive engine and my best modules are being held hostage because I'm afraid they're going to disappear.

Another personal annoyance is the fact that I just spent a ton of Cbills early this morning to make a loadout that's suddenly no longer usable this evening because (as far as I can tell) adding that actuator to the mech means the 14th Endo Steel Crit no longer has a slot... *sigh*

I finally found a loadout I really liked with the c-bill bonus Battlemaster and it's gone within hours. *sigh* I have to either remove needed ammo and run it a ton light or pay again to have the endo steel removed when I just paid to have it added this morning. :/

Edit: Added Screenshot.

Well before this server-fiasco I'd have said "don't worry, your stuff will be there when you log back in again" but now ...

I'm scratching my head here. Why choose this patch to nerf various IS mechs? I understand it's not strictly intended to be a nerf, but that's the bottom line, regardless.

Yeah, really. I was rather unimpressed with most of the Phoenix mechs as it was, considering what I paid for them, (Locusts are essentially useless until I can afford to buy an XL engine small enough for them but I had to buy them to get the other mechs) and that was a major part of my decision to hold off on the Clan mechs until after they were actually released. No more paying for mystery mechs.

And now I see that once the next paid set comes out, they start making the previous set worse? (Costing me a bunch of Cbills and holding most of my best equipment hostage in the process.) Wallet closed.

This is totally NOT COOL! Not only have I lost some favored mech builds, but now my client is dog slow (took 2 minutes to update on Check Out). A heads up would have been nice, but knowing how "good" PGI is about letting us know about new game mechanics I probably shouldn't be surprised. (Yes, that was heavy sarcasm.)

I only have one mech affected, and all I need to do is remove one DHS from the right arm.

However, instead of allowing me to remove said offender, it completely strips my mech.

I will not make any adjustments or use this mech until a better resolution can be made.

Thank you.

Hi,
As many of us, i found my battlemaster with slot violation this morning.
The bad news is that the configure function seems buggy in this case.
You can't see any of your components and you think you will have to buy again all your stuff and you start crying and call your mother.
The good news is that if you use the strip menu to completly strip your mech, then you will find back all your stuff in your inventory and you stop crying.
Ok, it's not fun to rebuild all your mech but it's low price to pay for a FTP update... As i play 100% FTP, i won't complain...

Hope this helps...

Is that confirmed? You did it yourself?

I don't care about having to put equipment back manually, as long as it isn't going to disappear entirely. I don't have a whole lot of playtime lately so it would take months to replace all those items.

Has anyone already checked whether equipment will be stored in the inventory or not?

The first thing I noticed after the patch was how many Clan LRMs are in the air. The second thing I noticed was my IS LRM boat had been nerfed.

To be expected I guess.

How was it nerfed? I don't believe it was mentioned in notes.

Attention: Mech Pilots with Slot Violations

Confirmation of Sniper 69's great post.

Tested on both my BLR-1S and STK-5M

Both mechs:
Pulled up with SLOT VIOLTION
Opened under Configure
Force stripped by Mechlab
No inventory of parts stripped shows, and none can be added back in without repurchase.

HOWEVER.....
While the mech is till open, hit the "Strip Mech"
You then need to check both the "Strip All Equipment" and "Strip All Modules" then OK this.
Save the mech configuration.

All "missing" parts and modules are now in inventory and available!

Rebuild the mech.
Just realize that the mech might have to change since a missing critical slot is now taken up.

Thank you Sniper 69 for mentioning this.
This fix has been confirmed!
