So which of the two House Kurita mechs did you choose from the founders package? Jenner or Hunchback?

I myself went for Jenner, being the only true sole House Kurita Mech, The HunchBack was first manufactured for the Star League, and only came into prominence in the times of Isoroku Kurita. Plus the Jenner was My favourite light Mech From Mechwarrior for PC back in the days of 286's lol

I went for the Hunchback, pretty adaptable to several styles of play and I think it will be a good Mech to gain skill in this game with.

Jenner as I have never been a big Hunchback fan. Speed kills.

I went for the "take them all" option. I will more than likely flit between the Jenner and the Hunchback but initially i will focus on the Jenner... get some nice long range kills in.

You know, two of the three factories that produce Atlases are located in the Draconis combine?

Course, those two combined don't equal the production of Defiance Industries...

Anyway, the Catapult-K is also a Kuritan mech. Thought it was worth mentioning, once I was done bragging.

Catapult-K isn't available, founders 'mechs are just the base-line variants. That said, the Cat-C is also used... eh, anyway, I digress.

yes, founders mechs are the prime variants. I don't remember which dev said it, but it was in the founders day Q&A thread

Yeah, you'll have to get the K2 in game through the normal routes, instead of getting it through founders. It's probably going to be worth it though, it has such a powerful array of energy weaponry.

I will certainly start playing in the Jenner to get used to the game. It will let me scout out all the nooks and ambush spots on the maps early on too. :)

Yar...no variants available in the founders pack. And the K2 Cat is not the Cat available in the founders packs.

The Catapult that is available is the Cat C1 w/the LRM/Energy hardpoints.

Its the one I chose as it has been my favorite all round mech since MPBT days.

It might be as close as we get to a Warhammer, as a bonus. I don't think the Dragon or Cataphract will have energy hardpoints in both arms.

Yup; and that's what I chose. I looked at it as a long-term investment, knowing how pricey Atlases are going to be.
