Played with clan erppc today for a bit. No hard data, but I was definitely having solid hits go right through people and do no damage.

I use them pretty heavily. One out of every two or three salvos fails to register. Usually the hit will generate an impact effect on the target mech but it won't turn my reticle red or apply damage. Happens even against shut down targets. It's definitely worse when firing them right after firing another weapon or group. If I chain fire two of them quickly, the first registers while the second almost always fails.

This needs to be priority, ERPPC is just too hot to have this kind of unreliability.

Yep, I am definitely seeing this issue. However, I'm also seeing ER PPCs in general seeming to do far more damage than normal sometimes. I've been 2-shotted in Heavy mechs in side torso by ER PPCs several times now, and have also done the same to others. If PPC hits land for 10 dmg each, and I'm firing them in pairs, I should only be getting 20 dmg in one spot each volley. So I'm not sure how I can core and kill an enemy heavy in a side torso in only 2-3 volleys. Something definitely seems off with PPCs in general right now - sometimes volleys that appeared to hit aren't registering, and sometimes they seem to be registering multiple times.

i'm having MAJOR hit registration problems with any ping over 300 and groups of lasers. hit registration is NON EXISTENT on my nova using 6 SL groupings. If the target isn't moving, they will work, but if they are moving at all and ping is 300+.....forget it.....they will not register at all, never....

6 volleys against a slow moving jager just now.....not a single bit of damage done....firestarter standing completely still, registers 100%.

game with a ping of 300 or more is completely unplayable.

I almost exclusively use cerppc and I most definitely am seeing bad hit detection. Lots of shots fail to record any dmg on the mech even when they are stationary or are slow moving. Even worse off its a moderately faster mech moving laterally.

2-3 volleys is 40-60 dmg in one spot so if it's heavies like u say that would core a side torso and if they aren't running full Armor then easily cored out. Regardless hit detection is way off at the moment.

The only time I have hitreg issues with the clan ppc is when I fire them in chain fire very close together It seems the first shot will hit and register but I get no hit reg for the second fired shot. I cannot confirm whether or not the shot is actually registering but the hit animation does not lead me to believe that it is, I have had this issue in less degree with IS PPC's as well.

I've noticed this issue with PPC's of all flavors since before the clans were released.

One particular match stands out in my memory. It was River City night and there was one mech left on the enemy team, a trebuchet. I properly lead the target and fired my PPC's. The PPC blast went through the target, my reticule did not turn red, yet the Trebuchet took one more step and exploded, thus ending the match. A teammate was spectating and saw the exact same sequence of events.

For me, this happens about once every few hours of gameplay.

I'm seeing this too, no hits on a shutdown mech 200m away...

I also found that my cerppc's were not hitting so i switched to lasers and had a better time.

Been messing around with me Summoner and if i chain fire my PPC's, rather slowly mind you, they all hit and in those games i put up 400-650 DMG no problem. If i fire them in a group i have a problem getting my DMG above 200...didn't really take notice until i saw this thread and really watched my reticule as i fired. This seems to be a rather common problem....

Straight up ROBBERY!
