Hi
I am having some trouble trying to get decent FPS through messing with advanced options and i would like some help on the matter if possible. Normally i was able to run the game at average 20-30 FPS but since the last 2 patch those numbers are way below.
PC SPECS:
AMD ATHLON II X4 (640) 3GHz
6GB RAM
Geforce 650 Ti Boost  2 BG 1GHz
I remember that when the game was all about 8 vs 8 i had no issues with my frame rate but since then everything is going to hell depending on the map and the mechs rendered on screen. i a, lucky if i get something close to 18-20 fps but thats never stable. All my settings are on low excpet shaders and object detail which are on medium.
Thanks in advance  to anyone that can help me a bit.
PS is there a way to keep the ppc beam effect while keeping particles settings low?Forgot to mention i am using Win 7 64 bit

Search the forum for "user.cfg" then improvise: You have a real quad-core, and plenty of RAM on you card, but you may never get enough Hz out'a that Athlon II to turn up the settings know to load a CPU …

There was a forums post with some low system user config files on the forums but your going to have to look I will see if I can find it and post but it will be Tuesday before I am able to. I was running the same processor and radeon r9 270X rebranded 7870XT and had the same problem you were having it the processor speed is too low for the cry engine game. You could out a mild over clock on the processor maybe and boost it to 3.3ghz maybe with good air cooling. If possible watch the ads for new egg and other parts place and look into a mother board processor and ram change out it willl do wonder for you. If you have a micro center they have the cheapest processor prices arounf when they run sales. I didnlt want to upgrade but did really have a choice now run game between 70 and 115 and at 1600 res and high setting.

A friend set me up with his used components less than 4 months on them and saved several hundred dollars on the parts.

Now running a I7 4770K giagbyte Z87-OC 8 Gigs if Gskill ram r9 270X windows 8.1 and SSD.

Thanks for your answers.

The thing is that i want to leave the hardware upgrade option as a last resort. I'll try searching for a low end cfg file and see if it has any results

I would bet a 30$ coolermaster 212 + thermal paste and a 300mhz OC and one of the few athalon X4 (low L3 cache) based CFG file tweaks would have you playing MWO with acceptable FPS for some time to come......

i have the same cpu, a radeon hd 7770oc(not overclocked), 4gigs of ram(ddr3 1600) and win7 32bit and average 35-50+fps with vsync on.most of my settings are low except object detail, texture and environment on medium.i think i had read shaders should be low because it eats cpu resources.im running at 12800x800.
