Arm Stays Attached Despite Side Torso Destruction

So on my most recent match on Alpine Peaks, piloting my Timberwolf-S, I lost my right torso, but the right arm remained attached, albeit with red internal structure.

Sadly I lost the screenshot, but unless this is clan CASE in action, since I did have SRM ammo in the location, I'm not sure what to make of this phenomenon.

This has been a witnessed phenomenon since time immemorial. Happens to IS mechs too. They've just not got round to identifying/fixing it.
