The World Is Coming To An End

Not long ago someone posted that it seems like LRM warnings seem to come MUCH LATER for Clan LRMs.
I just had a game in which I saw someone across the river on River City paint me with a tag laser and fire off CLRM20s, and I clearly saw all of them arc into the air, and I only received an INCOMING MISSILE warning when the last of the volley left his missile tubes.
If this wasn't a fluke or just me misinterpreting the situation*, this could mean the impossible.
Then again, you know what they say about monkeys and typewriters (read: keyboards). if you get enough of them and let them bash away for long enough, sooner or later they are bound to produce SOMETHING that isn't complete nonsense.
---
It is also possible that this only happens some of the time and/or that I have misinterpreted the causes... feel free to chime in with your own experiences.
*Like maybe he had fired at someone else despite apparently having me painted- someone just behind me, perhaps... and I just got a missile warning when someone else entirely fired missiles at me.
---
All of that said, I suggest that PGI approach fixing this issue the same way they approached fixing knockdown.
Remove it (Incoming missile warnings) for several years, with promises of re-implementation... someday...

I'll be sure to pull out both my Clan and IS LRM boats to help you with your problem. Practice makes perfect. Repetition, repetition, repetition...

Be my guest. Don't have a problem killing boats, or anyone else for that matter. Just sick of the non-stop spam of lrms match after match. I can understand why they don't want me in brawling range after matches like this I had all morning.

"warning missle lock detected" to let me know someone with SSRM's or LRM's has a lock on me

I feel like this was a thing in previous games, or at least MW4. There was a tone that let you know someone carrying LRMS had a lock on you, then another one to let you know they'd actually fired. It even did it for the duration of their firing to let you know how much pain was coming your way.

I also want a "Warning, PPC Boat jump jetting" alert, and a "warning , enemy gauss rifle charging" indicator.
I also want to be notified at the start of the match if there are any decent pilots on the other team, and I want to know in advance when an enemy is packing a seismic sensor module.

Dude...don't give them ideas like that. It'll go to their heads. Just like my Kit Fox's LRMs...

I would have loved to purchase one if the prices were reasonable.
You're in luck, they're coming out for c-bills soon.
Watch the whining continue unabated, despite the massive lurmocaust caused by all the ECM and 3x AMS arms.

I think that's PGI's strategy honestly. The release will likely have a hero version, and by making LRMs such an issue now people are more likely to purchase one a la carte now or when they release.

Oh wait, they have. The issue isn't reporting a problem it's that there's this obnoxious segment of the population that responds to any feedback or recommendations with 'L2P WHINERS! I DRIVE MY DRAGON W/A STEERING WHEEL AND NEVER HAS AN ISSUE W/LURMS! YOU'D HAVE TO USE TEH 'R' KEY TO SHOOT DEM ACCUARTELY AND WHO HAS TIME TO DO THAT?!? LRMS R FINE!'
The fact that one clan light bullet-magnet can mount 3 AMSs and ECM (if they don't want to take much in the way of weapons either) doesn't mean missiles are balanced. An ECM spider with 7 JJs can get up into a place no other mech can reach and power down. Clearly you can be completely immune to any direct fire weapons. Get rid of heat and ammo requirements and cycle time!
You can make a point without being a jack*ss. CLRMs need a few fixes. Not MUCH, just a little. Broader stream, tiny bit slower and the alarm needs to sound from beginning of fire not end of it. BOOM. Fixed.

And some of us don't think LRMs need a Nerf, Don't L2P folks, I just tell people that in all my matches I am killed by missiles, Lasers and Ballistics But more ballistics and PPCs than anything else cause statistically more players use solid hammers than sand blasters.

LRMs are always feast/famine - which, IMO, they should be when boated. I actually have a lot of luck with them in my Battlemaster and my Twolf when stacked with lasers. You make them a mid-range weapon, you pack about 30 or 40 tubes at most and have short-mid range firepower and they work well.
The issue is simply balancing LRMs between clans/IS. That LRMs are an under-used weapon due to the nature of pugging is a whole other issue. That doesn't mean they don't need tweaked.

Why make clan missiles slower than IS missiles?

You don't see an issue with long range missiles being better mid-range weapons?
