There have been several posts where devs have referred to the telemetry they're collecting. Paul revealed some of it in a broad way when talking about solo vs. team drops. Karl has mentioned a few times that devs have expanded the amount of telemetry being collected.

We get to see only a minimal amount of it in our personal stats and the heat maps that are available. The personal stats still leave a lot to be desired--even something as simple as providing damage per match, kill per match, and death per match. And the heat maps are only broadly useful.

It'd be nice to get some regular, OK Cupid-style posts or a data stream showing aggregate trends. Things like which weapons are being carried the most; which are causing the most damage by %; which are getting the most kills by %; % of engagements at close, medium, and long range; % of games on each mode; % of clan vs. clan kills/damage, clan vs. IS kills/damage, and IS vs Clan kills/damage; and whatever else might be interesting like Smurfy's hot builds showing which mechs and loadouts are the most popular or are trending.

You should be able to do it in a way that doesn't require revealing player counts or raw data to us. But it'd be great to see more information about the state of play. It'd help inform a lot of the discussion that takes place about balance and feature suggestions.
