Since the clan pack has been launched I have been playing 1 type per night, each variant of that type. And my biggest pet hate for clan mechs is the Direwolf. It is the most useless Assault mech out there. Just a few hits to the centre and it is cored.
I very seldom get hit in the torso for Direwolf and when I do it is always very little damage.
But the damage taken in the centre is extremely annoying to the point. I just want to get rid of the Direwolf. It is suppose to be a menace on the battle field but so far I have had 1x1 with every weight class and each time I manage to get cored too fast.

Seriously fix it in the next patch.. Otherwise it is useless. I mean if i turn my torso sideways away from enemy fire I still get centre damage. What is the point of having a slow emcombersome assault mech that gets cored as if it is a light mech.

As for weapons choice good.
No ECM, only 1AMS
Speed well little than useless as it isnt really fast enough to get cover, but having paper mache for centre armor...

Hopefully next patch will fix it... here is hoping someone out there listens...

I've been taking screen shots of dire wolf deaths. So far of the dozens of deaths I've had, all but one of them were CT destroyed without fully losing armor on any section other than the front CT. The slow speed of the mech, large side torso, giant hit boxes, and possibly bugged hit resolution means that I'm getting CTed quickly by nearly any incoming damage. Sure the firepower is fearsome, but it drops like a slow medium in a firefight, even at range which is where I try to keep it.
