Some things that could offset this:
- The legs could be slimmed down a little on account of it being a lighter mech. This would mainly be in regards to frontal cross-section, the overall design would be the same.
- Torso twist range being almost 180 (as per MW4) to support tracking for LRMs.
- Running acceleration/deceleration/turn rate being alot better than the Timberwolf, again, to support LRM engagements and due to the lighter chassis.
- Omnipod perks to reload and heat dissipation for Missile weapons. Possibly a lock timing/duration bonus for the prime variant.
- 2, possibly 3 missile hardpoints per side torso.
Finally, I prefer the classic vulture design, but the sketches posted by Lacov have potential for the arm pod conundrum.

when slapping those angled legs on the mad cat, the knee joint is "behind" the upper body...but this is surprisingly in line with classic illustrations

Which is weird since the CLAN MAD-DOG looks more like a Vulture and the IS-Vulture looks more like a Snoopy Dog.
The BEST thing to see is cosmetic change based on load out. If you put clanner pulse-lasers (the stock) I better see this:
![Posted Image](http://www.sarna.net/wiki/images/thumb/4/4e/Mad_Dog.jpg/191px-Mad_Dog.jpg.png)
But if I hook it up with IS-weapons or differ weapons I want to see:
![Posted Image](http://www.sarna.net/wiki/images/thumb/a/ab/MWDA_Mad_Dog-Vulture.jpg/95px-MWDA_Mad_Dog-Vulture.jpg)
I want to see ASYMETRICAL load outs too. Where he might have exposed barrels like the original and box setup like those IS-vultures. Also where it might or might not have the chin guns.
This mech is real important to me clanside, in my opinion was the hero of MechWarrior 2. The UNDER DOG THEME. The idea being that you were a DOG not a wolf.....wanting to be in the timberwolf (cover mech) but your ass is in a DOG. So I like the idea of playing MechWarrior 2 with the theme of being the badest ******* dog. THE Dog of Clan Wolf.
You could see gameplay in you tube to refresh your memory. Your superiors(wolves) call you a dog, wet-nose, free-birth.....they never call you a wolf.
In fact story wise I think its coolest that the TIMBERWOLF is the mech you always want, but you never GET.
Yes Timberwolf is the front cover, Yes wolves are the ****, NO you can't have Timberwolf your a DOG. To me that was awesome.

The MW4 Dog, though? That thing looked fantastic. That was a war machine, absolutely. No bending your lasers out of alignment/into useless brushing up against a stray tree in THAT sucker, no sirree…

Yeah you have a point with the arms, but it's the body of the MW4 Mad Dog that I hate. The thing is gigantic and boxy and super easy to hit, and for no reason at all Microsoft extended there already massive center torso that they created to add a gaudy chin turret that doesn't work and makes no sense. Remember the Mad Dog is barley a heavy mech, she's only 60 tons. She should not have a torso the size of an 80 ton assault mech.
This all being said, what do you think of the arms in this version?

Gets you your vulture load out and kinda look that is more inline with a vulture.
LRM 20 in RT & LT
2x C-ML in RA & LA
C-ML or tag in CT

Btw, is there Anyone here from good ol Falcons Ghost legion [FGL] by any chance or my ol clan Clan Tarantula {CT} ????? Or Landsharks , i miss u guys lol
TBH i like both vults, but loved my mixed tech Vult in mw 4 the most ( twin Thunderbolt & ERPPC ), if ever gonna be placed in MWO i do hope it gets the 360 degree torso twist & the ECM ( MW4 style)
but most dissapointing is the lack of the Shadowcat 45T med mech, the Novacat and talkin bout a true fearsome clan mech the Bloodasp!
Cheers,

I find that the torso is a bit big even for the MW4 version, maybe size it down a little bit. The side torso launchers also are a bit big. Nothing to drastic of course, maybe just a little smaller as it looks a bit too top heavy on those legs. Other than that it looks really good.

for side by side comparison i slopped some views together:
![Posted Image](http://i.imgur.com/BIGKuzE.jpg)
and because I wanted to test how the upper torsi behave to each other:
![Posted Image](http://i.imgur.com/ww2V9vE.jpg)
apparently, when you take the cockpits as "absolute point" the upper torsi seem to be of a similar size - at least concerning their height - they both end fairly exact at the same point into the hip
only the legs are of different length - but this is to MWO's clan heavy legs are much straighter and this is already the maximum i could flex them without looking awkward
