There's something about the Warhawk, might be nostalgia, but ever since I first played mechcommander and got my hands on one of them (they were hands down the strongest mech in that game), it's kinda had a special spot in my heart. Sure they're not as overwhelmingly powerful in this version, but just looking at it brings up warm fuzzy feelings :blink:.

Not what I meant. I mean firing in pairs works better (heat wise) than chain firing four of them. Try it out.

I think Chain Firing can set off ghost heat sometimes too.
I know it does on AC/2s.

Yeah, I notice when I pair fire them it does ok, sometimes when I rapid fire pairs off it instantly shuts me down...or when I quickly single fire them it shuts me down....

The heat off PPCs is weird, the PPCs in general pretty strange.

but that loadout comes with a 15% increase to your weapon cool down due to the 3E hardpoint arm adding that quirk...

4 ERLL should be fine as the cycle fast enough to not overheat for ages but fire constantly. Or you get 3 Alphas before a shutdown. Either way, one salvo, 2 at most, is enough to headshot everything. My Twolves are fun set up for this! Swapping the 5th ERLL for a 4T comp would be fun!

Yeah, I noticed that after toying with it. In the end I got rid of that arm and ERPPC'ed it. I also knocked out 3 DHS for a MKIVTC. Blargh, i've got tonnage left over!

Once targeting comps are fixed im sure we will see more gauss/PPC/LRM builds. running 15% more armor, targeting comp for missile spam crits, and longer/faster gauss/ppc strikes will make the warhawks the best thing to run in game.
