Just bought a firebrand but it did not come with a mech bay. Is this a new change or a bug?

I don't think they ever came with a mechbay unless it's a bundle. Come to think of it, it's about time they did come with one.

This is neither a change, nor a bug.
This is how it's always been.
When buying any Hero, Champion or Regular mech, you require a free mechbay first.

It's only recently that you could buy packages that contained Mechs + bays in the bundles.

I'd actually like to see some Mechbay Bundles tbh.
Something like:
3 for 855 (285 each, 5% off)
6 for 1620 (270 each, 10% off)
12 for 2880 (240 each, 20% off)
24 for 5040 (210 each, 30% off)

You know, it's about time they added 1-2 mech bay rewards in the achievements too and maybe some cosmetics.

I'd gift some of mine if I could. I have something like 15 empty bays and no intention of putting anything in them at this point.

With those "funny" prices they should have come with the mechbay AND the used colors unlocked in the first place.

there is alot they SHOULD do as far as Costs/MC/Cbills but they wont people are paying things now and they dont feel they have the player base to still get enough cash if they dropped prices.
but i know even if tomorrow the game had a few million people start playing it they wouldn't drop prices any. I mean god it costs them a whole $250k just to make one map they need all the cash they can get right?

It was always a discussion that when you bought a hero mech (especially the bigger ones because they were more expensive) that a mechbay should have been included as part of the purchase. While that is optimal for just a bundle deal of some sort, it probably made more sense for PGI to discount hero mechs to 50%, giving no excuse and just "buy your own mechbay with the savings".

If anything, it should be standard for a non-sale situation, at least starting with a particular size/weight class (probably with the X5/Cicada).

I bought The Boars Head at full price when it first came out... no mech bay included... Though for the price I think it should have.

They never came with a Mechbay. There was rumor of getting Mechbays for the heros, but it never materialized. I doubt I will ever get 12 empty Mechbays for my heros.

Agreed. They should be awarded retroactively too for every hero mech bought.

I also agree.

I think a mechbay should be included with the purchase of any MC purchased mech as well. With the prices (MC) they often charge for mechs, and the inexpesive cost of a mech bay, it should be treated as a bundled deal.

Frankly I feel it's a cheap move on their part to sell you a mech and then have you find out...."Oh, you still need to give us a buck or two if you want it in the game".
