A required CD/DVD drive device is missing. if you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now.

Dang.

And you don't have any old desktops with an old drive laying around whatsoever I take it?

How long till your disk drive comes? Because if you have a computer store in town you can usually grab a cheap used DVD drive for like $5.

I linked up the USB tool in the other thread you made. It works fine off an ISO too.

Here you go as the other topic has been deleted.

I've never had it fail, it's worked on every machine I've used it for, and I do a lot of fresh build and rebuilds!

is that when you try to set the stick up, or when you try and install?

if it's on install, and you've got the stick running put your board drivers on another stick, and plug that in before you boot from the windows stick

Some sticks don't like to be boot devices. I've got a specific one I use (MS Branded thing they sent me as a Promo) that works perfectly. I've found however that things like an SD card in a adaptor don't work!

If that won't work then try vlite.

http://www.vlite.net
and i THINK this is the tutorial I used myself before they brought out the USB tool.

Ignore the "Vista" mentions, will work exactly the same way for Win7. Will also allow you to roll up the drivers for your hardware in to the install with vLite.
