If You Think Clan Mechs Are P2W...

Otherwise...you are clueless until you use them and understand the mechanics.
You should absolutely NOT get something that MANY people paid early access for a package, the same day for free...that would be the most horrid business decision PGI could ever make. How much money do you think they made off this package? Lots of it likely...they would lose ALL OF THAT if they let you snot nosed, whining, egotistical, self indulgent, spoiled little brats have them now. Get used to it. Pay to have it before you do is here to stay, and IT WILL NOT CHANGE. No one is paying to win, they are paying disposable income to get something they wanted early. If you cannot fathom that...I cannot help you.
Do you want clan mechs? They are still on sale...PAY THE MONEY or shut up, it is simple. Trial clan mechs are coming...then you can see how they are not P2W.
I am tired of explaining to people who are incapable of listening that clan mechs are DIFFERENT, but in many ways they are NOT superior...
You want clan mechs??? Buy them like the rest of us...
Otherwise wait and get them FOR FREE. If you cannot do that...there is a tutorial on how to uninstall MWO. I can link it if you wish. The CoD crowd needs to GTFO, and take their self-entitled attitudes with them.
Flame on circle-jerk-I-want-it-now-because-it-is-P-2-W whiners.

well put sir, im just going to start linking this thread to people that *****(complain) about P2W.
i hear it almost every match. Some loser in an atlas gets his cheetos spilled and whines about P2W clans, when one team still fighting is all the old school inner sphere mechs and the clanners on the other team bite the dust one by one. yeah, p2w, i paid and i lost...so quit....just quit....
EDIT: oops, dirty word

I didn't think I missed out on anything with the Phoenix Package, but I knew if I didn't find the disposable income for Clans I'd be sorry.
Great post OP.

They have more DPS which is balanced by longer durations of fire, making them easier targets for sniping and LRMing. This DPS though makes them naturally stronger brawlers (in general). Unlike previous mech additions, Clan mechs require a different approach in order to overcome.
The average idi- er, player now discovers that what he was doing before (which got him many kills and success) now gets HIM killed with little success, and interprets this to mean his opponent has bought the win.
Only solution to this misconception is to try and take players aside and explain to them patiently. Works with some.

well now, that would depend on one's definition of "discussed", now wouldn't it?

and so actually have access to all the mechs, meaning they MIGHT (not a given, granted) actually know what they are talking about?

Early access is clearly a good selling point but it's not something I care about.
