I dont think I have a really top end machine but it's not low end either
AMD Phenom II x4 B50 running at 3.10ghz
4GB RAM
Vista 64 bit
Nvidia geforce GTX 650 Ti
and up until the last patch it was running fine with no slow down, rubber banding or lag
Actually that is a low end machine. GPU is low end of the affordable "nice" processors, 4 gigs of ram when Vista eats up over a gig just in overhead, and an okay GPU. It should run MWO though and I don't think that is cause but it might be compounding the issue.
Usual suspects:
ISP - Your ping can be fine, but if the connection is dropping packets then the game will lag even though the ping never drops. It could be a common router some people go through to get to where PGI hosts their servers.
Some bug in the software creating overhead that specific machine environments have issues with.
Someone suddenly hogging bandwidth. My friend gets kicked out of a specific game whenever his wife turns on the X-Box and goes into Netflix on it. Once she is using it everything is fine but for some reason the X-Box sucks up all the bandwidth for about 3 seconds when she fires up Netflix.
So questions to ask.
Where are you physically located?
What ISP?
How is your personal network setup?
Is this a clean install of MWO? Have you tried clearing caches for MWO?
Is there anything you can think of that has changed.
The room my computer is in could use it's own air-conditioner. In the winter this room is cooler than the rest and in the summer much warmer. That means my cooling system on my computer(which works as a personal space heater when I am really stressing it) is not working as well so I am noticing a few more issues in general with my computer. Maybe something like that is happening?
If it were server lag I would assume there would be a LOT more complaints.

I had these problems with the last non beta nvidia driver update recently (on other games too), they since released a beta that has fixed it for the most part, might help for anyone using their cards.
Thank you! Forgot to mention that suspect.
