Back when EVERYONE was getting the (4) Frames Per Second bug/memory leak, my friend that was running his GTX 680 4GB card was getting the (40) Frames Per Second bug... 40 FPS.

Then my friend with a ATI/AMD 6990 (dual GPU card), was getting the (4) Frames Per Second bug, but he was only getting (7) Frames Per Second.. His card stated 4GB of V-Ram, BUT he has a dual GPU card which means it was 2GB per GPU, and not really 4GB of Vram as the upper limit.

The (4) Frames Per Second bug/memory leak, was patched out of the game a while ago for the most part.
Even my old GTX 260-216 core cards do not get the (4) Frames Per Second bug anymore on one of my other rigs.

If you want to get Technical, this really isn't a hardware issue, it's a software issue, the software being MWO itself, causing the hardware to glitch, that has been evident for more then a year and a half now.

My friend with the GTX 680 4GB card also has a GTX 780-TI 3GB card in his second rig, and he has no issues either, and now my other friend with the ATI/AMD 6990 (dual GPU card) doesn't have any issues either.

Is the issue driver based for Nvidia..?? Possible, is it the fault of the hardware..??
I'm not seeing it that way, and since all of the other games they run, (myself included) do NOT have this issue, then I would have to say it's a combination of the MWO coding for the game, and maybe the fact that Nvidia and ATI/AMD drivers aren't keeping up with the (2) patches for MWO every month.

CONCLUSION: MWO software is the culprit, not EITHER Nvidia or ATI/AMD hardware.
