Meta ones, unfortunately. There are some other competitive chassis that can dish out huge amounts of hurt in a small amount of time (Misery, Banshee etc) but most IS chassis that don't boat or relied upon DPS rather than Alpha seem to be struggling.

Overall though, with the exception of Clan Gauss and PPC's, most IS weapons can do more damage in a smaller timeframe.

The cure is to get good. LRMs thin out rapidly as skill level increases- if you're being spammed, this is MWO telling you that you're scraping the bottom of the ELO buckets.

Some of the ac5/ppc poptarts are still trying to ride out that sinking ship. But most of the cool kids finally figured out how to macro the gauss/ppc. It was more fun when they cried because they couldn't figure out the mechanic..

It is what it is, quit whining and adapt and overcome. If you are unable to do that then you need to think about improving your game instead of whining as the problem at that point is you not the supposed 'meta' (most overused word on mwo) that you think is the root of your inability to do well. L2P.
When I say 'you' I am not singling out anyone in particular btw, just a blanket comment to all those who whine excessively w/out just cause.

And for the one who says jump sniping is fading ("poptarts are still trying to ride out that sinking ship"), you are quite delusional, jump sniping is not going anywhere. As a matter of fact it is one of the best defenses against the high dps clan mechs that now besiege us. The only ones who are quitting it are the ones who are simply not effective at it.
