IGP/PGI are you from Hell ? (I hope not ^^)

But if so - let me know, so I can show maximum Grace to you all

Wasn't exactly happy to see the title of the sale when I logged on today... I won't be buying anything in the current sale (let alone my forum signature).

Easy to bash Christian people Cimarb... everyone has respect for Islam, Muslim, buddhism etc. but everyone loves to bash Christians.

It also irks me that if PGI implemented a religious mech, they haven't listened to any of us in the community to either make available a Christian mech. You know, having two Firebrand heroes would be nice - having a Godly mech alongisde the blasphemous one (like the Fang and the Flame)

While I'm not religious, I don't think that sounds unreasonable. "Technically" the camo pattern probably can be overridden, but I think there are some mechs that are an exception to the rule (the La Malinche's head energy hardpoint) and that could be somewhat problematic with existing camos. It would essentially require "effort" on PGI to allow all existing mechs (Founders, Phoenix, Clan Invasion Prime) to all have a base/alt camo. I don't think PGI is up for that task (remember how long it took for being able to recolor Founder mechs?)

It doesn't seem "practical", unless you're willing to accept there will be some "deformities" with even the base/standard camos.

Considering the horribly uncolorable Prime Clan variants (and Ember), just remove those sections from the paint scheme so it doesn't show.

Shoot, Heffay or several people in the community could probably alter the camo to remove those gloss reflections if PGI allowed it... If so, I'll even figure it out and spend my own time doing it!

I'll admit... Clanners hate my Jester... they see it, and want it gone from existence lol. Must be my BSI colors opening past wounds with the canister babies

If you have no wish to buy, be it religious compulsions or other factors, then don't buy. Should you want to buy, then buy and enjoy. We all love the game, no matter race, sex or creed, so lets focus and kill some mechs!

Pretty much. My main issue is the Firebrand, which is covered in bluntly-Satanic logos. The Jager, for what it's worth, happens to look extremely good in the only semi-religious camo pattern, Crusader (or the CrusJager as I like to call it):

I thought you Seraphim kids weren't allowed to pilot a Firebrand... being the religious and all, isn't it kind of blasphemous to own one? I mean... well... ****, I'm stuck... I was going somewhere with this... wait. How the hell (pardon my pun) did we get on to a religious topic regarding a sale anyhow?!?

I purchased it before I joined, and they were actually the ones that pointed out the reflection (I had never changed the angle to see it before that, actually, as I thought I was smart enough to have figured out a way to still use it...). We actually talked about it for a while before I joined, and I had stopped using it by that point.

For the record, I wasn't trying to make it a religious discussion. I was just hoping that we could get some alternatives to the anti-religious sales and heroes that we currently seem to be stuck upon.

As far as I know for every hero mech that died twice as many Mad Cats have died. Its a war of attrition. Right now the Mad Cats are being declawed at a fast rate.

2 to 4 Timber Wolfs per match now and most of the time 2 to 3 die before the match is over.

I know I have never survived a match in mine
Part of that is that they are new(!) and have a big reputation

Combine those two - and they are a bigger priority target than the Dire Wolf is.

Inner Sphere Hero Mechs destroyed since the Clan Invasion on June 17:
Ilya Muromets - 11,678
Firebrand - 9,302
Misery - 8,966
Ember - 8,711
Jester - 7,878
The Boar's Head - 7,267

Interested in detailed statistics:
1. Destroyed by clan, or IS mechs, or both?
2. How many hundreds of thousands of clan mechs were destroyed?

Maybe IS mech pilots can have some salvage? I'd like to have some clan AC's, MG's and those bright pew-pew things.

Ugh stupid server ate my fantastic post, so you get the boring verbose version with less theological mockery:

While no one, ever, would accuse PGI as a whole of using common sense but dosn't it seem a bit ass backwards to put less effort into the customization options of one of your major cashshop items? (EG: Founder, Hero, Phoenix, Invasion variants)

That, good sir, is a revered Chaplain of the Black Templar Space Marines, a specifically pious and zealous and several-centuries-old officer of an already overly pious and zealous loyalist chapter. You don't get much holier than that in WH40K universe.

But we live in this universe.

A Space Marine pretty much excels at one specific thing:

Murdering tons of dudes.

I'm looking for more of a "Wrath of God" Old Testament approach, circa Crusades-era, to be honest...

I thought the New Testament kinda brought a hip new lightness and love everyone theme to update the barbaric "tough love" approach of the Old Testament.

But then again, we're talking about discomfort over the paint jobs on the robots we use to murder each other in an online violence simulator. So point taken I guess.

Out of date? How so? You one of those jokers that actually believes Clan mechs OP?

You must be one of those people that can't see a trend, even when playing in it. The clans have brought DoT to the meta, the only thing keeping IS mechs alive is the fact they have clanners on their team.

All of these hero's are broad shouldered easy to target mechs. The Firebrand has 2 ac/20 capable hard points that are on high mounts. That gives some advantage, but we all know its side torso weakness. ILYA's a fine design, but low mounted weapons and an easy to hit frame make it a favorite target and quick victim to any clan mech at range, a much larger range than current maps were designed for.

The cat? Who cares about DoT with a CT like that, along with the Misery. Ember is a nice light, but lights have caught a strain of small pox lately and efforts are underway to artificially resuscitate the class with 3x4. The designers have left an out incase the players decide the illness is terminal.

Look, I'm happy your happy with your new shinnies. Have fun with them. I however own several of these as you might, and if you would pay attention you would have noticed these mechs just don't stand up to the new meta. Or they wouldn't be on sale would they?

Clans are not OP. The Inner Sphere is just suffering from planned obsolescence. How else do you make money in todays world? Stop being so insecure. Or are you just naïve?

Let's be real here

Coming back from hell is way more badass than "gently floating back from heaven sale"

Tell that to Sodom to and Gomorrah!

There must be a reason that the first thing an angel says when it appears is "Be not afraid".
