My Mwomercs was installed under win 7 then I upgraded to Windows 10. It was working for a few months. Then it stopped working for some reason last week.
I had the problem where I couldn't run the client. And I couldn't uninstall it because of the same error as the above posts.

After a week of trying various things, this finally worked for me.

I used iObit after finding the above post.
1. Use iObit (logged in as administrator) to uninstall mwomercs
2. Use iObit to clean the registry
3. Manually delete the piranha games folder
4. Download the client and reinstall.

With windows 10, the administrator privilege thing was another major barrier that I had to figure out how to overcome.

Why was it a major barrier? Just right click the shortcut.
