Do you tend to stick around until the end of every match, or leave immediately if you die?
Do you focus on one target or try to hit every target you can?
In general, how do you play? What do you try to avoid?

1. I stick around til the end of every match. (But then, I'm usually one of the last to die because I prioritise positioning and use of cover.)
2. I focus on targets, prioritising them on the basis of biggest threat to the team. For example, I will try to take down dual-Gauss snipers, or AC40 Jagers or meta builds first. Or I will try to finish off a damaged opponent, on the basis that that will be one less set of guns firing at our team. If I'm in a lance, I try to coordinate fire with my lancemates, and defend them if they're under attack. However, if I see a stationary Spider/Raven I will switch to it to take the opportunity to damage a Mech which will be hard to kill later in the game.
3. Different Mechs require different playing approaches. But I always play with a team win as my goal... which usually requires keeping myself in the game as long as possible.. I try to maximise the damage delivered, while aiming for the component which is the quickest way to bring an opponent down. I never ''run into the enemy guns", I am always looking at the minimap and working out the best place to be firing from.

> I tend to stick around... I kind'a enjoy watching other players play-styles.
> Since 90% of the time I'm in my -5K, I tend to hit everything I can. That said, I'm keen on picking components so I'm always on the lookout for the "lame duck".
> Again because of the potential fragility of my chosen ride, I tend to skulk around, take corner and peek-a-boo shots.
I try to avoid being the Leroy Jenkins but It's so damn hard not to push too soon...

I tend to leave immediately unless I feel like trying that specific loadout again or the match is nearly finished (victory or loss).
I prefer brawling and hate having units in my flank so I tend to focus on single targets though there are exceptions.
I dislike moving in a blob and like ending up on the enemy flank. I also dislike not having at least a good idea where all the enemy units are moving or positioned. Therefore I am often moving on tangents away from our main force but this varies based on my mood and how patient I am feeling at any given time. I am fairly reckless when running solo but if I am grouped with friends will play more conservatively so as not to negatively impact their earnings (hopefully).

Depends how the game is going and if i'm playing for fun or money. Anything but like a close 10 - 10 game I generally leave soon after I die. If it looks like something I hit is going to die in the next min or so I'll stick around for the assist credit.
I don't run around looking for mechs to tap but if there's a group in front of me I'll be sure to sweep my weapons across all of them for assists.
I try to avoid rushing out alone, dying fast is never good for cbills. I almost never take consumables cause it's a long shot you'll make that money back. If i'm in dire need of cbills I'll get a weekend of Premium Time and run my Hero mechs.
Awhile ago I tried the Savior Kill method of loading up a Highlander with PPC/AC and a standard engine and stripping the armor from the left torso. Once you lose your torso every kill you can get in on is a $avior Kill. But I've got almost no XP in Assault class and didn't have the patience to farm that way for long.

I leave when I die, no reason to stick around unless its close and I want to see what happens. I also stick around recently to see clan mechs in action.
My motto is simple if I'm not shooting at something I'm doing something wrong. I pilot fast mechs so I normally get to chose when or what I engage. Longer ranges, I'll shoot anything that moves and I can damage, I'll try to take out an arm or focus on one place, but if not any damage I deal is good. In a bigger more complicated skirmish I'll prioritize targets based on tactical importance. Sometimes I'll focus with the rest, sometimes I'll draw a guy out, sometimes I'll make myself a nice big target to draw fire etc.
I try to avoid LRMs and recently fast clan mechs which can catch me and kill me. If you want a more general question, I try to not die, that's pretty much it. The longer I stay alive the more damage I can do, the more use I am. Coupled with my paradigm from before - dealing damage all the time - this is a good tactic. I play fast support mechs, so the longer I live, the more damage I'll do and the more I'll contribute. And I kill a lot. I only play pugs anyways so there's not too much room for any sort of advanced group tactics, but like I said before, I'll still do whatever's usefull to the group.
