Think along the lines of back of the lance. With artillery weapons and missiles what would be a good mech for this?

Catapult fits the fire support role perfectly.

Catapult or stalker are your best choices for missiles so far.

Depending upon how many Missile Hardpoints the Atlas has (at least 2), the next best choice for lotsa Missiles is the Stalker at least 4 Missile Hardpoints and enough Tonnage to use it for a heavy fire support platform, iirc you could squeze 4 LRM 15 into that one, though you'd be left with basically no room for other weaponry.
Though the Atlas can be fitted with 2 PPCs and twin LRM 15s...

Catapults and stalkers can both handle lrm loads.
The treebucket?
Drop the lrm 15's and go with 3 or 4 lrm 10s.
