I have a Battlemaster 1G(P) that until recently was a valid design. However, the missing hand actuator fix rendered it invald. (I had zero crits left)

Short description : ER PPC, 6 ML, AC10, 4t ammo, AMS (1t ammo), XL375, DHS+Endo, 17 DHS total (IIRC).

Now, the actual bug manifests itself when I go, you know, actually fix the problem.

I click on Configure, it gives me a popup that tells me the mech will be stripped but until I checkout it won't be saved. Fine. Then I go to Loadout to start adding stuff.

... But my XL375 engine isn't there. Odds are, nothing that was on the mech is there. It tells me I have to buy new.

I'm sure you see the problem now. Apparently, my inventory isn't being credited with the gear that was ON the mech so that I won't have to buy it again. This is a critical issue to me since the engine alone is like 6.2 million c-bills. Everything put together would likely be enough to pay for a stock Atlas.

I killed the client instead of proceeding to check-out and it apparently hasn't saved the mech, so it's still there, safe and sound with the stuff it had equipped... and still invalid. So I can't drop with it but at least I haven't lost an atlas' worth in gear either.

I can't fix my problem until you fix this bug, PGI. Please help me. :)

(if you need/want to, just peek at my phoenix battlemaster. Yes, that's the one)

Edit : Apparently my 1D version is also now an illegal design. Meh. At least I'm busy with the clan-mechs.

The safe solution is to remove the equipment and then save. If you have to relogin, then do so. It makes things easier when you remove stuff instead of trying to "adjust stuff" (remove AND add).

You can safely save(ha!) after stripping the 'mech. Your stuff will be there when you click on "configure" again.

If anything goes wrong you can talk to support and they will help you.

I had the same problem with 1G(P) and 1D - the reason - PGI in a stealth update added some more actuators in the arms - hence loss of slots.
