So, a friend of mine bought his Timber Wolf a la carte and unlocked the orange/light green camo pattern and colors for his prime AND the two variants included in the deal.

I just got my summoner today and the camo spec and colors are only unlocked for the prime version. The two variants smr-b and -d only got a basic grey/is green color spec. I expected to get the same colors and camo on all my variants, since the deal only advertised one color spec in the first place. The grey/is green is kinda fugly...

Am I missing the unlocks for my two variants or is this for some incomprehensible reason intended for a la carte purchases after mid june?

The unlocks were only for purchases before the release date

That is why the colors and other unlocks like the mugs and the sonic warhorn are no longer advertised on www.mwomercs.com/clans

I think he is talking about the special orange/green camo on the primes ( PRIME(I) ) along with the special models; not the the polygon camo.

Are the hero version of the primes not part of the deal for purchases after the release date?

I didn't expect the warhorn unlock since it was not advertised, but they advertise the limited edition camo in the selection screen without any indication that it's only for one of the variants? They even advertise that the 30% credit boost is only for the prime. I expect their advertisement to at least include any information that differentiates from what is visually advertised.

Even though the Summoner is a nice mech, I'm seriously disappointed by the bad advertising and bland colors/missing camo I'm stuck with, since I obviously wont buy additional camo now. Feels like my money isn't worth as much as from people who bought the packs just 2 weeks ago.

Should've advertised as "Buy the package now, cross your fingers and you'll get what we think you deserve". It's not like I bought a mystery box to gamble on my purchase...

Now that the "pre order" period is over you don't get the color and camo unlocks anymore :/

It actually says about the pattern in the FAQ:
http://mwomercs.com/...ollections-faq/

Q: What is the difference between a Prime and Standard Variant?
A: The Prime Variant of each Clan Collection Mech gives a 30% C-Bill Boost. Standard Variants do not have this boost. The Prime Variant also comes with a unique paint pattern that cannot be changed, nor can it be acquired for other Mechs.

Well the Prime is the hero mech and normally only Hero mechs get said colors, and patterns. Also since the June reward was the Invasion colors when you preordered (Orange ,Grey,Green) for all mechs.

the orange/green unique camo is only for the prime variant. i think it is stated in the FAQ.
besides, with the omni pods you can create practically any variant... (you still need to master your other 2 variants of course)

Its just for the time being, they will make patterns for the clans specifically. Any colors you buy work on any mech, even the Prime "Invasion" ones, just you can only edit the primary and secondary colors, the black stays the same (tri). I do agree the normal mechs have the least customization out of ANY mech in the game, the Firestarter is the next one on the list of severely limited paint customization (by far the most ******** thing ever, not being able to customize everything).

I surely hope they allow Unit Pattern and Colors to be applied to any mech, even Hero ones, so that everyone can look synergized when fighting the enemy.

You know, honestly I kinda get his complaint.

But I feel, personally, if you've shelled out the MC or actual $$$ to get a mech, and it has colors attatched to it, those colors should be unlocked for you ACCOUNT WIDE. Accessable for all mechs, not just specific ones.

I should be able to use my founders colors on other mechs, my protector colors on other mechs, my clan colors on other mechs, there is literally 0 reason for them to hold our colors, that our techs CLEARLY have in storage, hostage and not let me use those colors on other mechs.

If i have a major complaint against PGI currently, it's this.
