Greetings all,
With the soon to be separation, of IS and Clans Factions I select no. At no point should all the Mechs be displayed on a single page. It's already getting crazy with 90 + Mechs to look at and difficult to find a specific chassis.
- We do need more options for displaying the Mech's.
- Abridged view that only lists the Id designators, no images. (option to turn on the images)
- If I'm in an IS Mech, when I press the Mechlab, I only get IS mechs.
- Same for Clan Mech's
~ a single top selection for changing the Faction to Clans/IS
PGI is proposing that when a player selects the IS mech's that's what they see and play.
If they select Clan those are there only selections viewable.
So at some point the MechLab will need to be separated into IS and Clan.
- Depending of what you select only those items are viewable.
- You want to select a Clan Mech, press the Clan button and the Mechs appear. Same for the IS.
There will be no mixing and matching, one or the other.
- This simplifiers the items in the inventory as there is no need to display mixed Tech. (we don't get that now, but just saying)
- Faction players get what they have available and nothing more.
~ As the timeline advances, possibly prototype selections that blend the separation of Tech. As both Factions develop new and mixed systems/weapons from intelligence and reverse engineering.
If you want to purchase a new mech then that should open a new window, with again, The 2 selection options IS/Clan. The new selected window showing only that Factions options.
An aside:
You can own both Factions, but there should be some penalty for changing loyalty all the time. This was one of the keystones of Faction Warfare.
