God I hope that's sarcasm of some kind.

Its about half and half. The part about me being in the top tier of the ELO is. The part where I dealt 600dmg and 250assists in 48 games...naw, I seriously did that lol.

The part where it would seem that the ELO rating is why when I pug drop solo I am in a 2-12 wipe 8/10 times isnt...Cuz I seriously cant think up any other reason the team im with would lose that many times.....

Some mech variants are cursed, cursed!

My worst one is the Ctf-4X. 36 wins, 60 losses before the stat reset, and most of that right from the beginning where I went 3 wins and 25 losses or something like that.

I can accept myself sucking and losing some games, but so many times I've watched my team disintegrate before I could get a chance to screw up, like there was an invisible script running and telling my teammates to die xD.

That is true. Everything else you wrote is utter speculation.
The fabled and mythical "MM" is nothing more than a random game generator: it plops the people who are ready together into the same game, without regard to any other consideration than to start a game.
And my anecdotal evidence is just as plain as yours.
"MM," "Elo", etc. is just myth.
Completely random. Period.

Not completely random, but the matchmaker parameters are very loose. The worse part is once you get to a high Elo bracket as a solo player you are stuck there. You generally only play against better players on premade teams (usually 2 teams per side), and when you side lose your Elo score doesn't move because the "expected outcome" was supposed to be a loss.

In defense of the matchmaker I will say the following, I am (or was) a very good Heavy pilot, and when I drop in my heavy mechs I see a lot of familiar names from the tournaments, and a lot of poptarts and consumables.

Additionally I almost never play light mechs, in fact until the clan mechs I only had 25 drops (out of 5000) in light mechs (and a <1 KRD and W/L). And it is very uncommon for me to see familiar names in those drops. And there is a lot less meta (front loaded damage) and poptarts in those games.

So there is some segregation going on, unfortunately the boundaries are so vast that it doesn't appear that way. I also think the leading contributor is pre-made groups, they can bring in very high and very low Elo players that break the matchmaker boundaries. Now all of a sudden the matchmaker is scrambling to accommodate a 2800 Elo player and an 800 in the same match.

With things like 'ELO' being impossible to quantify, since we have no idea the real statistical values it considers, it is hard to say how MM uses it for your skill placement dropping with others.

I only solo drop but tend to see at least 1 and more often 2 premade groups dropping in matches with me routinely on a given team. No idea my 'ELO' but I do alright generally in most the chassis I play so maybe I am in their bracket.

I do hope in the upcoming patch with 4x3 and such... group numbers are balanced a little better than what they are now. I do not mind dropping with groups but there should not be a large disparity between teams.
