It seems that the times of weapon balancing is over
unless they want to balance clan weapons i.e. Clan Ultra Auto Cannons
into deepest depths of nerv-ana.Maybie they had enough of constant complaints
about OP weapons.From now on its called CLAN TECHNOLIGY.
SO SHUT UP AND DONT BOTHER,its clan invasion FOOL.Really,
what do you wanna complain about now,that an IS mech killed you "too fast"?
Nah, that story is told.Clans are the ultimate damage dealers that wreck you in seconds,
making you blind and deaf by shredding you to dust and leaving you traumatized by a horn
sound from abbys.Many people must feel not taken seriously even ridiculed who called for the balancing of weapon system like the ppc or uac5 in the past,
except of course they pilot a Clan mech now. In that case they can hold against the flood of dps with same mayhem from mars (the god of course).

All the work into weapon balancing,even a comment in devlog 5 about what to come.
On top they even nerved IS AC´s down shortly before clans arive.And for what?
That IS mechs cant harm each other too much?! L O L
For this what we facing they shoud be at least what they where.

No. Weapon balancing is a constant process for both IS and Clan weapons, and will need tweaking as the game is tweaked, especially huge fixes in hit detection that can make a weapon overpowered or useless.

What needs to stop is trying to balance the movement and agility of mechs to solve other problems, like the Victor being nerfed trying to solve jump sniping.

No PGI. You made the rules for how engines impact mech chassis. You either stick to the rules, or you change them in a way that impacts ALL mechs, not 1 or 2.

Be good if they could actually do balancing right , But LRM's demonstrate how PGI are totally over the top when they get it wrong(very overpowered as of now). They just didn't think about it or check the counters out on the maps I'd imagine.

. Although often a good indicator of when something is overpowered is it's usage rate (the number of players equipping the weapon increases dramatically (LRM cough cough)).

Agreed. The problem is pinpoint damage. Nerfing the victors brawling capability hasnt done one thing to reduce pinpoint damage.

If IS AC5s were burst fire and fired three shots of 1.67 damage, and IS PPCs were 6.67 + 3.33 splash damage then the Dragon Slayer would only be able to do 16-17 pinpoint damage instead of 30.

Except, of course, for the fact that the only "competetive" players that PGI cares about are the ones in the leagues that play in private matches.

The PUG is basically a target range for the preferred customers.

As for the truly "competetive" players (ie: the leagues), you'll find that most of the IS teams won't allow their people to use Clantech in competetive play. Just in the PUG. Which isn't really competetive...it's just a target range for them to use between matches.

They need to lower the RoF for long range weapons.

That a gauss or PPC fires just as fast as AC20 or SRM6 is ridiculous. Meta can snipe, and brawl... that makes it undisputed. That is why it is meta.
