Sort of unimaginitive, but I was using 1 CERPPC, 2 CERMLs, 2 CMGs, 1 ECM, 4 JJS, 1 ton ammo, max armor, and 1-2 extra DHS. Ran it identical to how I run my duall PPC jenner and had some great games.

1 ECM, 1 AMS (0.5t of ammo), ERPPC, 2x SRM4 (200 ammo), 2 MG (1t of ammo), 2 JJ. works miracles

My first build was meant to play a psychological role on the battlefield.
It ran 2 UAC2s in the shoulders and 2 CERSmalls in the arm w/ 2 JJs for mobility. The idea was to spook the enemy into thinking they were getting dakka'd more than they really were, and occasionally it worked. The downside was that in order to do real damage, you need to put yourself out in the open for way too long. So my matches always ended with maybe 250 damage and no kills, so I felt like the trade off wasn't worth it.

I switched to a 2 CERL, 1 CERM, 2 JJ, and ECM build which I think works a lot better at changing the momentum of a match. Group 1: large, for range, group 2 for alphas when they close in. It runs a lot cooler than 2 cerppcs, is invisible to radar, can run with full armor, and still has a 30 pt alpha.

ERPPC, 2ERML, 2MG (1t ammo) ECM, 3AMS (3t ammo), 2JJ.

Runs a little hot, but makes a fantastic babysitter - ecm/ams coverage, taking potshots all day, and exploiting openings in enemy armour with MGs.

Streakboat

Clan streaks have the advantage of longer range (360m) but the disadvantage of a longer reload time. One way to maximize your effectiveness with this build is to hide behind Heavy/Assault Friendlies. To take a shot, jumpjet above the Friendlies, lock their target and give it a 32pt spread damage alpha. Then continue to hide in the rear until you are ready to fire again. Rinse. Repeat.

This build also makes a beastly Light Hunter. It's like a slow, jumping Oxide with 2x the firepower.

This build and the UAC/20 build listed above are the only two builds I've thought of so far that are potentially worth forgoing the ECM right arm.

Not using that x3 AMS is criminal in my opinion! I've been running the above as a support for my lance, I watch my Dire Wolf buddy's flanks and provide ECM and AMS coverage for him and my team. It's such a useful mech......
This mech is what people who are sick of lrm boaters have been crying out for, and frankly.....I'd feel guilty if I didn't bring the AMS.
If I can help my team live longer-I WILL.

3 csrm6s, a uac2, and jump jet. If you're careful about attacking when they're distracted and work with people it can be devastating.

the kitfox is the only clan mech i'v been playing/leveling since i got the summoner pak since i'm doubtful i'l go back to it once i play the other 2, but it's been more fun than i thought it would be.

of course i think the ECM arm is MANDATORY, but fitting AMS on it is a total waste unless you are providing support in a group setting. but then again ECM (mostly) negates LRMs in the first place so i don't see the point of AMS unless you leave the ECM off

the arms are loooooooowwwwww and i generally stay behind cover and fire so i found it hard to mount any weapons other than LRMs which shoot almost straight up. i'v been leveling up the prime and the D with this

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...901e48d2496293d

and have a 1.83 K/D after 20 games, which is surprising since c-LRMs don't work properly at all. should throw on the kit-S JJ torso on too actually...

the kit-S seems to have more options with the torso mounted ballistics and JJ. ERPPCs and JJ could be an option on the kit-S but it's a little small to do much damage that way, and those ballistic mounts are nice and high but there's barely any free slots so you don't have a lot of options. i'l likely give this a shot first (havn't started leveling the S yet)

i'm sure most people would prefer to ditch the half ton of ammo for an ERSLas, but i prefer to go 'all in' and see how it goes, then make adjustments accordingly

Better yet...

4xSRM6, JJ, lots of ammo

Why do 20 damage when you can do 48!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look for lone Altas and Dire Wolf, sneaksy behind, BOOM, BOOM!
Watch out for Madcats, they turn fast.

This is the Kitfox-Prime build I use - great support mech, and can easily fend off lights or kill wounded mechs.
