My brother was bragging about his Timber Wolf having lower arm actuators that can be removed or installed, depending on what weapons he has on his mech, and that there was a check box to install them or not.

I looked at my Summoner and found it had no lower arm actuators installed. I just assumed it didn't.

So, just in case somebody else has this issue make sure you go look and see if your new clan mech is missing them when you could just hit the check box and put them back in.

Just know that lower arm actuators are not allowed when you have a PPC or Autocannon installed in an arm.

If you have a PPC or AC in only one arm, be sure to equip a lower arm actuator for the empty (or laser/missile) arm if possible.

Allows some lateral movement, even with your AC arm.

Indeed, this box is very easy to miss. Really, it should default to being checked. After all, there is no reason to not take them in the majority of all builds, quiaff?

I did not even know about the the check box. I was wondering why my 4 ERML arms could not move laterally.

I cannot find them on either my warhawks or dire wolves. Do they offer LAA on those?

I wish this check box would be on IS mechs. I have a few Cent builds where I would prefer not have lateral movement on the arm. I don't even want an AC 20 on my non hero Cents. I just find it easier to aim with sometimes.

All Clan Omnimechs have the ability to equip LAA, if at least one arm lacks a PPC/AC/Gauss.
