I recently rejoined mwo several days before the clans dropped. And now suddenly seemingly out of the blue i now get spontaneous lag spikes out of no where during matches. They only seem to last for a second or two.

Trouble is my Ping doesn't seem to even go up, my ping normally holds between 30 to 45 latency. This obviously makes it hard to play when i lock onto a target and it suddenly vanishes from sight. So far as i can tell my other online games i tend to play do not suffer from this issue either. Such as war thunder and Dota.

Just came in here to see if anyone else seems to suffer from it as well.

Yeah. We do. Fairly common for me at times.

I get it at least once every other match it seems. No one else in my clan seems to be getting it. I've been told its client side. Unfortunately i know absolutely nothing at all about computers...

Just enough how to turn it on and off that's about the extent of it.

Welp. I guess I'm glad to see it's just not on my end.

hit tab a bunch of times. You will eventually catch the latency spiking to 1000+. Try redetting your modem and disconnecting anything connected via wifi. These usually fix my problem.

I've been getting the same issues. So far I've done hard resets on my router, modem, ran the repair tool.

Next up will be disabling wifi to see if any of the phones/tablets are causing issues, then connecting directly to the modem. Barring that, I'll try a clean copy of windows....if its still bad after that its either PGI's servers or my ISP....

EDIT: I'm leaning heavily on it being PGI's fault :P

Just posting an update. I took a week or two off from MWO hoping that would clear things up. I've already gone ahead and reset my modem more times then i care to think. And now it seems like i keep getting lag spikes multiple times per match instead of every once per 2 or 3 matches. My other online games such as GTA5 Space engineers ect. No issues what so ever.

Have you tried the tab thing that I was telling you about? During a bad game, go to the scoreboard repeatedly and see if it the lag pops up -- try to catch it in the act.

15 FPS is pretty low. It may be a graphics issue. Turn all graphic options to low and see if it doesn't improve.

Yeah and it's still an issue too. MWO has pretty much started to take a back burner. Seeing as theses lag spikes are getting me killed in some matches now. I can't explain it i've been playing space engineers and other online games for several hours a day for the past few weeks and not once i can recall having a lag spike like that. I'm pretty well convinced its not on my end at this point.

I was getting lag spikes... I turned down the shader option under advanced video and it seems to have helped.
I also ran the repair tool, but it didn't find any errors but I did let it clean out whatever it wanted to (whatever the default was) so that may have also helped.
