I suspect it's got something to do with the radar deprivation module, but I can't be sure.

Basically what is happening is you get an indirect lock from a team-mate, fire your LRM's with a red redicle, but they don't seek the target, they just dumb fire into the hill in front of you. I'd say it's happening about a quarter of the time, which is a LOT of wasted ammo.

Please fix.

It happens EVEN with direct LOS and after LOCK ON! Unless you wait 1 second after obtaining lock-on before firing, the first volley of lrm's will dumb fire.

YES, FIX THIS PLEASE!

Feels like there may be an overall lag issue here. I don't know. Something I also noticed on the receiving end of missiles: the missile warning turning off after the usual LoS hide, but the missiles continue tracking for about a second (very noticeable when side-running from clan streams).

In the latest patch notes they stated that they fixed the old issue of the missile lock 'stalling' at the end of the lock (I've had that happen a lot, it was frustrating) but by the looks of it the patch only fixed the stalling VISUALLY, meaning the stall is still there, but now we can't see it <_< Sometimes if you wait a little you can hear a second beep, and you can fire normally from then on. (Still irritating though...)

Seems to me the lock is not server-orchestrated (anymore). You should not rely on your display for now, but of course PGi should fix the underlying issue, as it's affecting XX% of the players right now (don't have the numbers, but PGI should be able to name the total/LRM&SSRM mech drops accurately, personally assuming 40-50% right now).

Yeah, this happens many times !
You get a lock from your teammate and fire LRMs into the ground...great !

This is a new failure since the Clan Invasion.

Sometimes it works to fire LRMs, when you do the following:
- get a lock at a target
- wait for another 5 seconds and hold the target
- then fire the LRMs

Then the LRMs take the normal way and fly up in the air.
Its annoying but you have to deal with this bug.

Usually not, so don't hold your breath. Just pray if you're religious. Maybe that helps.

BTW, I'm experiencing the same problem. About 1 in 6 locks go astray.

Happened many times here as well.

It is very random and not often, so I cannot find a pattern to help support.

But it does happen...

Yup, just checking in but it's annoying as hell.

This is an older issue. I left feedback on it in the last two public tests and the last two patches. No comments from pgi yet.

See this also - major pain in the behind....and a bug that wastes ammo. First salvo almost always goes in to the dirt 90 meters out. PGI....please look in to.

P.S. Open support tickets or poke them on Twitter. PGI does not read forum posts.
