I'm not sure what happened after the patch but I would be cruising out of my spawn area maybe 100 or so meters and get hit from so far off I couldn't even see what shot me or where from. Normally this isn't an issue even gauss rifles at that sort of range do no damage and PPC's just flash impressively and do 0 damage but last night I right after "All systems nominal *vrrrrrrrr" I would be hit in the front torso (so not friendly fire for 5% damage.
I'm piloting a Nova Prime with near max armor in all slots. Did they change my armor or hitboxes? Is this the result of targeting computers?
I Seem To Be Taking A Lot More Damage

People are testing the new Targeting Computers; so it is possible you were hit from 1900m out or so (they extend laser ranges and speed up Balistic/PPC making them more accurate).
Or, you hit or fell off a pebble (new Fall Mechanics).

It was front center torso so I couldn't imagine it being friendly fire.

Yes, my group noticed this as well. Our lights were getting headcapped a lot more as well.
I think Dan got had capped in a commando three times in a row, just wow. It's feels like the hit boxes for lights have changed; or the new TC are superbadass

Clan weapons have longer range than the dusty old IS weapons we've had for the last few years.
Yesterday's patch also introduced functioning Targeting Computers, offering enhanced zoom, enhanced beam weapon range, and enhanced projectile speed. (does not increase gauss or ppc range though, just speed)
you may also have been improving your own performance, and are now encountering opposing players of higher Elo than you were before, who are better equipped and more skilled at hots than your previous opponents.
Recognize which maps and which direction these shots are coming from. Adjust your use of cover or map positioning so they don't have the opportunity to shoot at you again.

Your ELO may have gone up and people are firng on you sooner, seems like a pretty resonable cause. Also maybe people are testing there enhanced imaging from the targeting computers, and the increased range and projectile speeds.
