I know what you mean, This change happened a long time ago. Before the Hud/Pilot's head would stay centered completely without having to "follow" behind. So if you had lock on everything would be lined up perfectly a very solid hud all together.

Or if you use armlock off, the pilot's head/hud would be completely centered on the tiny circle reticule, now the circle can run off and your head follows.

I think the way you had it was "broke" abeit a way anyone would prob prefer. I went offline mode to look. turned on arm lock and saw my cross/circle move while the head follows slightly behind, So it appears to move just a bit inside the circle of weapon group indicators.

Maybe the change was done for immersion/smoothness over jerkiness/effectiveness. Its not just you.

Thanks alot for the helpful Post.I was thinking its a positive bug on my side too, but 2 mates confirmed that its still working as/not intended as before. So i dont know whats up with that.

Heres a Screenshot of it. Fresh Install, all i did was change to Fullscreen and select the Firestarter Trial Mech then went straight to the Testing Ground.

http://www.directupl...bn4f76y_jpg.htm

This wasnt happening before, Reticule stayed centre of the Screen when Torsotwisting with Armlock. Or rather the Hud never lagged behind but stayed centred to the Reticule.

Is this the same for all of you? Im playing this Game for like 6 Weeks and it has never been this way for me Torsoreticule crossing the Weapongroup Indicator Dots looks wierd. Also my Mechs feel different, the Torsotwist isnt responding as usual.

Oh wow, yea, that is weird. Picture worth a thousand words and all.

When you did the uninstall, did you delete the install directory before re-installing? Can't 100% tell if your reinstall was on a new drive/computer. I'm wondering if some sort of TrackIR support or some other non-production ready thing got turned on in your config, and the config is persisting past uninstall...

Did you try the repair tool yet? Can't imagine a problem from a fresh install, but you never know...

Yes i did run the Repairtool, didnt do anything. Prior to my now 3rd Install i used CCleaner for my Registry and Temp Files. Still the same.

Thanks Utilyan for that, i tried including the Picture but didnt seem to work.

Would be nice of more Poeple could comment on if what they are seeing in the Screenshot is the same behavior they experience with armlock on. After further testing, Torso Pitch Speed(up/down) seems changed for me as well, as its not in line with the Yaw Speed.

Going to have to pay attention now next time I drop. Maybe a ticket to MW:O support might shed light onto the subject?

ok I only had a chance to play for a few matches last night and I forgot to change my setting to arm lock, but I did test holding down the shift key, and while the cross hair moved a tiny bit on torso twist, it mostly stayed in the center.
That was in both an Ilya, and a Stormcrow...

when you did your fresh install, had MWO been installed on the PC before? Maybe there were some left over config files or something that were not cleanly overwritten?

Thanks for Reply. Yes its the same PC as before, just a fresh Install. I also used a CCleaner and deleted all old Folders.

Im starting to think this is just normal behavior and for some strange reason it was different for me before since i started playing 6 weeks ago. I asked a few more Poeple and watched some Streams and it seems not different then what im seeing on my Client.

In this Thread there were a few Replys though that suggested they know the Reticule Behavior i was experiencing before.

If its the same for everyone i should be able to live with it, just strange playing for 6 weeks with a different feel to the Reticule/Hud, then suddenly its changed.

What i really like to know if theres more Poeple who experienced that Hud Behavior where it stays glued to the Reticule and never lags behind. Before my Torso Reticule never crossed my Weapongroup Indicators but stayed centred in them when twisting my Torso. Basicly my Torso Reticule and Hud where one Unit, only experiencing a little shake trough Impulse or Jumpjet Thrust.

Theres got to be more poeple who know what im talking about

Apparently this is a recent undocumented change or a bug. I have seen this behavior on my blackjacks and jagermechs that cannot move their arms side-to-side. Seems to happen more so on quick mouse movements or fast torso twists. Your are correct, in the past the reticule never moved when locked.
