In addition, I dont think rubber on metal would spark in the first place....it would simply shred the tire......

O...I thought it was a Flare to ward off LRMs? Or perhaps a Flamer to blind pursueing mechs? woops.
OP I ran Mark 6 on 8 er LL direwolf. Continual linked fire damage out to ~1800 m or something like that. Longest ranged turret in the game, plus crit chance is very noticeable change.
