If anyone is interested in a lobby/chat system for finding folks to team with.
Ladder league available if you choose to do that. Bid matches like CZ etc.
Other leagues are welcome to use the lobby for forming up and cross team chatting. Match rooms with 24 player capacity for before/after match communication without being on each other's TS.
And it definitely adds to the friend's list!

What's the big deal, I have a TeamSpeak server, get to know them, and have a few beers together online. It's not like you're asking them out on a date...
If you are, then things might get awkward.. At least that's what i'm told .. LOL

Trent: A day.
Mike: Tomorrow.
Sue: Tomorrow, then a day.
Trent: Yeah.
Mike: So two days?
Trent: Yeah, I guess you could call it that, two days.
Sue: Definitely, two days is like industry standard.
Trent: You know I used to wait two days to call anybody, but now it's like everyone in town waits two days. So I think three days is kind of money. What do you think?
Sue: Yeah, but two's enough not to look anxious.
Trent: Yeah, two's enough not to look anxious. But I think three days is kind of money. You know because you...
Mike: Yeah, but you know what, mabey I'll wait 3 weeks. How's that? And tell her I was cleaning out my wallet and I just happened to run into her number.
Charles: Then ask her where you met her.
Mike: Yeah, I'll ask her where I met her. I don't remember. What does she look like? And then I'll asked if we ******. Is that... would that be... T, would that be the money?
Trent: You know what. Ha ha ha Mike, laugh all you want but if you call too soon you might scare off a nice baby who's ready to party.
Mike: Well how long are you guys gonna wait to call your babies?
Trent, Sue: Six days.

Is Mudhut a type of guy that I should maybe try be friends with?
lol friends are a personal choice sir. Best advice is just find people who take the game as seriously as you do. Whether that be "OMG I just blew up! lolol" or "OMG, flank to the left, the rest will catch them in a pincer movement. Take alpha lance behind that ridge..."
That's the best way to have the most fun in my opinion. Find like-minded people who fit your playstyle and personality. You'll find a mixed bag when it comes to units, groups, and PUGs on the TS servers. Some are hardcore regimented units, others are much more casual who just drop with whoever is available and goof off.
There's no "better" or "worse" way to play the game. Whatever is most enjoyable to you is what will work and finding people who enjoy it in the same way will generally improve your overall experience in my opinion

So today, I had this great game with a fast Atlas DDC besides me( I was in my Ilya (3XAC10)). He was going WAM BAM PEW PEW with his PPCs and lasers and I was going BANG BANG with my AC10. We were in the zone and we had a jolly good time(at least I did, I think he enjoyed it too). He was uncannily fast for a DDC and was smart about moving around cover and I moved in sync with him. We killed about 6 of the bad guys.
Now THAT'S a pilot I wouldn't mind dropping in and getting my hands dirty with. But would it be weird if I just go ahead and add him and send him a friend request? Will he be like "WTF does this guy want"? I feel awkward about this :/
best thing to do is to PM them, tell them your experience, and ask.
