So now if you group into a 2-4 man group you are thrown into a potential match with 8-12 man premade?? you cannot drop as a 2-4 + pugs vs another 2-4 premade + pugs anymore?? i really really hope i have this wrong and the match maker is just on the fritz as usual! the fun has been completely zapped out of small group play!

You have half of it right.
In a 2-4 man group, you are placed in BOTH the PuG and Group queues. Therefore you can drop 1 group vs 1 group with 8 pugs on each side, or as part of a multi-group against another team of multi-groups or a 12man.
I dropped in a 2 man yesterday, and my drops for PuG and Group queues was 50/50 as well as wins/losses. 8 drops and only 1 stomp.

ty, today has not been good just got put up against 8 steiner then 10 davion... thats the way it is supposed to work?
