Using the 3d Model of the Thor/ Summoner that I finished a couple of months ago, I have had a go at making city scene for the model to go in. I have not really done outside scenes before, so am not too good at setting up the lighting, and as you can see, it needs alot more work...

Would like to add more of a war- torn feel to it, as it looks to normal at the moment. I would like to make buildings that have holes in them and floors collapsed, crushed cars, rubble etc. Also, if I make more models of mechs, I will most likely place them in this city, and also make the city bigger.

The images are renderd using the standard Blender render engine, I would have liked to try and use an addon render engine, however, it would take ages to render.

Here is the first render:

Second Render (More Mist):

Damaged Building that I recently started to work on (Still needs alot more work):

This is the mech model on its own, rendered using a different engine:

This is beautiful. The damaged building model you're working is good. If there's any advice I can give you from personal experience, it's that you need to put more broken walls in there. Imagine how apartments would be set up inside that building, and then work off of that. When you can add some smaller doodads such as tilted/burnt paintings, rugs, furniture ... etc. You can really bring it to life. Don't put too much detail in there though. It's a small part of a bigger picture.

I'd say your biggest concern is working on making that sun seem more natural.
