It is also interesting, that the KitFox is the first modell, in which the sidetorso take over the part of the lags at the gyro.

Gyro? You mean the hips. See my responses to LordKnightFandragon, above. Is this some kind of Deutsch-to-English linguistic hiccup or something?

Hey,

Marmor and I started to figure out the Clan Hitboxes. We used IS SPL.
Due to the fact, that it takes time to search and color the hitboxes, we just have 2 Mechs. The others will follow. But feel free to start aswell ;)

Keep it up! This is great!

Yep you are correct, the hips. May just missread the posts above and adapted the Gyro story ;)

Do hitboxes remain the same for the Kitfox no matter what components are exchanged?

Unless they change the shape of it, yes

All the side torso have the same shape - so changing those out does not change the hitboxes.
Changing the weapons in the sides changes the hitboxes - but just changing a KFX-D RT (Empty) for a KFX-S RT (empty) would not have any changes to your hitboxes.

Sticking KFX-S torso's with AC/2 in them will change the hitboxes - but that is because the AC/2 stick out. :P

(edit: part names came from smurfy - have not looked to closely at my own KFX yet - and smurfy has two sets of names for the Kitfox parts so the ones I gave may be wrong )

Any chance of doing a how-to on this process? I get the general idea of finding the hit boxes and coloration but I'd love to see how you do it, which tools you use, and how you map the in game hit box to the image you colorize.

Targeting Computer, compared. Fact is also, that the increase is changing from 4 to 5. Only 75% of the Value before.

There is a typo in the Targeting Computer 2 for Sensor Range (listed at 6.5%, should be 3.25%). The devs posted the typo in their original listing of the TC info, and it keeps getting copied in other posts. The formula for sensor range goes up by 1% increments until the break, where they go up by 0.75% after that.

I'll try to get confirmation on the AMS thing today, but thank you very much for posting this.

Facts:
  • AMS is part of the side torso. (KitFox). So if you shoot on one of the triple AMS at the KitFox-C Arm it will count as a Sidetoros hit. (verification pls).

I'm willing to donate my clan mechs to help with the testing. I bought up to the Daishi pack.

No wonder my Warhawk always loses side torsos first...CT is actually quite narrow.
