Not sure where I should post this, so I apologize if this isn't the right place.

Anywho, does anyone remember the announcement of the Flea? Is it still going to make it into the game, or has it been scrapped at this point? I personally would love to see the Flea because I'm an avid Light pilot, but I'm worried that it has been forgotten. Any news on the 'mech that I'm missing?

Thanks!

(Also, Zeus, plx.) :(

It got alpha strike instagibbed before it could walk off the production lines. Think of it as a mercy killing, because it's basically just a clone of the Locust laser variants.

Makes sense, and I'm sure it wouldn't fare any better than the Locust... I really wanted to like the Locust. :( Still wish we could get word on what happened to it. The concept art is floating around on the interwebs and I feel like it's just gone poof.

I think the problem was setting MASC up for the Cryengine, and I haven't heard of any timeline for that yet.

I'd also like to see the Firemoth in the future once MASC is working.

Yet the Urbie just needs to be made, nothing additional needed.

The speed the Flea with MASC can hit literally breaks the CryEngine as they have going. Don't expect MASC anytime soon, if ever. (they might implement MASC and let some Omnis like the Shadow Cat have them since they can't hit hyperspeed with them... but Fire Moth, lolno, afaik hits the kind of speed that breaks the game, sorry)

You can say Firestarter is clone of Jenner with just different look...same for Awesome and Victor...

Yeah, isn't that totally sweet? Three more variants of the only good Locust - and with MASC too? I say bring it on :(

the victor and the awesome play nothing alike..

victor turns like molasses, awesome turns agile

victor flies, awesome can't climb a flight of stairs

victor fires dps autocannons or poptarts, awesome boats energy weapons or missiles :S

victor can mount way bigger engines,

the hardpoint location on the awesome is unique and nothing like the victor's, usually you can shoot with both sidetorsos

what were you getting at? the tonnage?

The Flea should be free for everyone who bought all three packages... Founders, Clans, Phoenix. Yup FREE.

Firestarter and Victor are straight up upgrades, rather than clones of Jenner and Awesome.

Don't see any Jenners or Awesomes in any serious games. :)

They should add the flea and make it a free mech with 3 variants that all users get by default as part of an effort to offset the weight class imbalance.

.....and here I was going to say "it stumbled over it's own shadow on the way off the production line and got swept up by the janitor".....

They could always sell them and buy something better

Consider it a leg up, as opposed to being legged :)

I say bring on the Flea, I haven't yet met a mech that I couldn't make viable. Even the Locusts.

It would break the CryEngine as well, out of sheer awesomeness (or its anemic top speed, either or).

Somehow I doubt that the CryEngine can be broken with just a fast moving object (plenty of CryEngine games with fast objects out there). It's not the engine, it's rather how they use the engine. MASC wouldn't break the CryEngine, it would break MWO.
